Our Story (Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey)
It’s never easy waking up one day and realising (rudely) that your whole life has been flushed down the toilet. One day you’re a top earner, the next, jobless.
It takes years to recover. To reinvent. To re-establish a mindset that life HAS to carry on. That’s the genesis story of Fractal Marketing.
For a while, post employment - I tried very hard to try something completely different. After all, if knocking on Ad Agency doors for a job or any scrap of freelance work in a bad economy proves fruitless, what does one do? Also, being white, male and in your forties... yes, it’s sad to say, but in this country, racism, sexism and ageism is alive and well - dressed up as political correctness.
It’s a big blow to one’s self-esteem and self-worth. The solution? Ignore the circumstances and CLAW at creating a new life. Become a student again. Knock on doors that you never considered before. Also, don’t ignore your strengths - I did that for a while until I realised I cannot ignore my years as a Creative Director and copywriter.
