What a honour to have had this experience. Launched Salmonbay this morning. Looking for bait I came across something Towingโs the drum lines around. At first I thought a big shark was hooked. Then a beautiful juvenile Orca Killer Whale surfaced. Then proceeded to come and check me out right next to my jetski. What a wonder day.
Wet and cold we still brave the weather. We just love to fish
Just enjoying the fun in the sun. A few nice fish caught. Water is cleaning up. Great weather on its way. Happy days. @slayertait
James in his boat Executive. Nice launch. Well done James.
Danie launching 4Shore. Taking some of the boys fishing. Tight lines gentleman.
Mark Delahey on his newly designed SeaCat. Great launch.
King of Salmonbay 2023 done and dusted. See you all next year. Same time same place. A very big thank you to CMH group, Yamaha SA, Janus from Medi Response for helping with the Jetski pushing and NSRI for supporting the event.
The boat Mense Mense was not that lucky. Caught a big roller as they hit the surf. Plenty water welcoming the crew to Salmonbay. Then a big wave over the front on the last wave damaging to T-Top. But all okay and continues on to fish the comp. Well done.
Tuna Ha made it look so easy. Well done Thomas great launch.
Slayertait up next. You can appreciate the size of the wave running all the way to the beach. Thatโs what hurts you if you get the call wrong. Always take your time once you in the surf. Turn if necessary. Focus is key.
Alister Frans first Jetski to launch day one. Alister has launched many times in these conditions. Still he was nervous but a great call. Out safely.
Welcome to Salmonbay. You it was at its best on the Saturday morning. Its raining shore break is unplayable and to make it worse the back lines looked bigger every time I looked at it. Well done Mr Groet Bek on a great launch.
