Genl, PRELIMINARY REPORT: ATTACK ON SAPS MEMBERS On 2018-08-11 at about 11:25 members of Flying Squad Soweto, namely W/O Shimange no 092 3663-5 and Cst Seima no 7162416-3, received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle,Silver Grey Hyundai Elantra, standing at no 4895 Chime Crescent, Mahala Park,Devland in the Eldorado Park SAPS precinct.Members arrived at the mentioned address confronted by 3 suspects, when a shooting between the suspects, and members started. W/ O Shimange was shot in the face,and both hands and taken to Lenmed hospital Lenasia. His condition is stable. Cst Siema was not injured. In the vehicle an AK 47 and 1 x 9mm G***k was found, nothing else was touched,awaiting CSI processing of the vehicle. Suspects fled the scene by foot, it appears that one of the suspects may be wounded as blood was found on the ground next to the left front passenger door. Brig Louw, Lt- Col Manganyi of PHO Specific Crimes on the scene with the B/ Commander of Eldorado Park ,Col Josjiza, Col Legodi Cluster duty officer of Soweto East Cluster, and Col Ngwenya station duty officer. CSI Soweto also on the scene to examine vehicle and scene. Hospitals will be visited to look for suspect who believe to be wounded. 15x R5 rounds and 11x 9mm rounds were fired by the members Possible Service Delivery Protest in Leondale Monday 13th August 2018 with the threat to barricade R554 and all entrances to the area. The threat is confirmed, meeting place Engen Garage on R554 no entry no exit, NO SCHOOL in Leondale no child will leave Leondale 3am 2morrow
