Crocodile in Action Australia

Although quite rare, unprovoked attacks by Australian Freshwater crocodiles do happen and yet another incident has been recorded at Lake Argyle this week (https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/disaster-and-emergency/freshwater-crocodile-destroyed-after-mauling-swimmer-at-watering-hole-in-lake-argyle-c-6676233). A while back I did a review on attacks by this species (https://www.ruchira-somaweera.net/_files/ugd/0eecb7_748b8d3bfa414593a4d0ae850bb05b9d.pdf) and it seems like most incidents have taken place are under conditions with less visibility (murky waters, late evenings) and during the mating season when males are more active and possibly aggressive too. Cant emphasise enough that when you are in the presence of large reptiles, always have a respectful and safe distance regardless whether they are reputed man-killers or not.
