Anne Burrell — the beloved chef known for her trademark spiky platinum hair, larger-than-life personality and culinary expertise — died on the morning of Tuesday, June 17 at her home in Brooklyn, New York. She was 55.

Reps for the star announced Burrell's death in a release obtained by PEOPLE.

She is survived by her husband Stuart Claxton, whom she wed on Oct. 16, 2021, and his son, Javier, as well as her mother, Marlene, and sister, Jane, her children Isabella, Amelia and Nicolas, and her brother Ben.

"Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered," her family said in a statement. "Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."

No cause of death has been made public yet.

Update from TMZ - Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... EMS personnel received a call of a woman in need of assistance Tuesday morning after Burrell was found unresponsive inside her Brooklyn home.

Paramedics were unable to revive Burrell and declared her dead. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Air India has said that the passengers on its flight AI171 included 169 Indian nationals, 53 British, seven Portuguese and one Canadian.

In a statement on X, Air India said:

Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident today after take off.

The flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, one Canadian national and seven Portuguese nationals.

The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals. We have also set up a dedicated passenger hotline number 1800 5691 444 to provide more information.

Air India is giving its full cooperation to the authorities investigating this incident.’

Australian actress and filmmaker Clare McCann (32) is trying to raise $300,000 to have her 13y/o son Atreyu cryogenically preserved after he took his life due to bullying.

My name is Clare McCann. I’m a filmmaker, journalist, and mother. On Friday, 23rd May 2025, my son Atreyu McCann, just 13 years old took his own life after months of horrific bullying at his public school.

I had begged the school, the Department of Education, and Children’s Services to intervene. I have medical records, psychologist reports, a formal PTSD diagnosis from his doctor, and emails proving I raised the alarm repeatedly. But nothing was done. No one stepped in. It has been confirmed that Trigg Kiser (3), the son of influencer Emilie Kiser, has passed away.

In screenshots here, you can see that the Maricopa County Medical Examiner confirmed that Trigg passed away on May 18, 2025.

A 3-year-old boy in critical condition after being pulled from backyard pool - Chandler, AZ

"A three-year-old boy is in critical condition at a Valley hospital after being pulled out of a backyard pool, according to the Chandler Fire Department.

CFD told 12News that crews were called to a home on the 5000 block of Ashley Drive near the intersection of Chandler Heights and Gilbert roads.

The department said Chandler police officers got to the home first and found a three-year-old who was unconscious after being pulled out of a backyard pool.

Officers started CPR and firefighters took over when they got to the home.

The child was taken to Chandler Regional Hospital and later flown to Phoenix Children's hospital. He is in critical condition.

No other details were released. '

Drag star Bianca Castro-Arabejo, who performed as Jiggly Caliente, has died aged 44, her family has said.

The performer, who found fame on the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, had part of her leg amputated on Thursday after suffering a "severe infection".

Her family wrote in a statement on Instagram: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente."

They said she died in the early hours of Sunday morning "surrounded by her loving family and close friends".

Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of s*xual abuse, has died by su***de aged 41, her family has confirmed.

Giuffre was one of the most outspoken accusers of convicted s*x offenders Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, his former girlfriend. She alleged they trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17, which Prince Andrew has strenuously denied.

Relatives said in a statement on Friday that she had been a "fierce warrior in the fight against s*xual abuse", and that the "toll of abuse... became unbearable".

"She lost her life to su***de, after being a lifelong victim of s*xual abuse and s*x trafficking," a statement from her family said.

"Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against s*xual abuse and s*x trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors," her family's statement said.

It said the mother of three died on Thursday at her farm in Western Australia.

West Australia police said they were called to a home in the Neergabby area on Friday night, where Ms Giuffre was found unresponsive.

A statement continued: "The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious."

Ms Giuffre had recently been living with her children and husband Robert in the suburb of North Perth, though recent reports suggest the couple had split after 22 years of marriage.

Three weeks ago, Ms Giuffre posted on Instagram to say that she had been seriously injured in a car accident, which her family later said she had not intended to make public. Local police later disputed the severity of the crash. You can see her Instagram post about the crash in images.

Pope Francis has died at the age of 88, the Vatican has announced.

The pontiff, who was Bishop of Rome and head of the Catholic Church, became pope in 2013 after his predecessor Benedict XVI resigned.

His death was announced by Cardinal Farrell in a statement released by the Vatican. He said: "Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis.

"At 7.35am this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church.

"He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage and universal love, especially in favour of the poorest and most marginalised.

"With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God."
