Imagine promoting yourself as the world leading video game rescuer and preservationist. You find a working Mr. Do arcade cabinet and rip it to pieces, selling off the monitor, the control boards, the marquee, etc. Maximizing profit.

Then you discover there is artwork under the paint and you spend 60 hours to remove the paint and unveil a rare gem (Sega Samurai). Then you spend tremendous effort to boost and promote the rare find, saying it is the "White Whale" of the gaming world, an incredible fine, etc.

60 hours of cleaning off the paint.

Then you turn around and sell it at an auction for $250.

HAHAHHAHAAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

What is the rarest / most valuable arcade cabinet? I heard one guy bought a super rare game in MINT condition, only had 3 plays on it. Flipped it for $50,000. Incredible find.

Then I heard this other guy finds a hunk of crap converted cabinet, spent 65 hours meticulously removing the paint to uncover a Sega something something. This item made it to a local news stations where they said (from lines they were fed) that "This is an incredible White Whale of a find!". Turns out this incredibly rare find eventually sold at auction for $250 minus auction fees.

That is $3.85 per hour for labor. Minus the cost of original purchase, storage fees, time wasted boosting and promoting. I'm gonna go for $1 per hour.

I'm pretty sure minimum wage is higher than that. Scrubbing actual floors is a much better (and honorable) career plan than scrubbing worthless arcade cabinets.

Please keep telling us how successful your small business is. I hope it keeps being this successful.
