Synopsis
Unlike his friends, Takumi Fujiwara is not particularly interested in cars, with little to no knowledge about the world of car enthusiasts and street racers. The son of a tofu shop owner, he is tasked to deliver tofu every morning without fail, driving along the mountain of Akina. Thus, conversations regarding cars or driving in general would only remind Takumi of the tiring daily routine forced upon him.

One night, the Akagi Red Suns, an infamous team of street racers, visit the town of Akina to challenge the local mountain pass. Led by their two aces, Ryousuke and Keisuke Takahashi, the Red Suns plan to conquer every racing course in Kanto, establishing themselves as the fastest crew in the region. However, much to their disbelief, one of their aces is overtaken by an old Toyota AE86 during a drive back home from Akina. After the incident, the Takahashi brothers are cautious of a mysterious driver geared with remarkable technique and experience in the local roads—the AE86 of Mount Akina.

The Nissan Skyline R34 is USA legal from today! May 2023 represents 25 years to the month since the release of the earliest R34s. The 25 year import rule goes from the month and year, so this month only 1998-05 produced cars will be legal. Despite our GT-R Registry name, we do have a lot of production data on non GT-R Skylines, including of course the R34. The GT-R is not USA legal until Jan 2024 if using the 25 year law to import.

Please use our website to view the factory information about the R34, including the all important production date, along with factory transmission, body, colour, and all of the factory specified options.

About the R34 Skyline:
ER34 - this chassis code covers the 25GT (commonly called GT), 25GT-Turbo (commonly called GT-T) and GT-V. The ER34 are rear wheel drive and have 4 wheel steer, except for the 25GT. Only the 25GT-Turbo have the factory fitted 2.5L RB25DET turbo engine, while the rest are non turbo. A total of 37339 ER34s were produced across all versions. They were also sold in Brunei, Hong Kong and New Zealand.

ENR34 - this chassis code covers 25GT FOUR (aka GT-4), 25GT FOUR L Selection and 25 GT-X FOUR. These cars are all 4WD and normal steering (without rear steer). These are only available with the 2.5L RB25DE non turbo engines. Only 3408 of these were produced, so pretty rare.

HR34 - this chassis code covers the GT and GT Special Edition. These are the lowest spec R34s and have the 2L RB20DE engine. These are all rear wheel drive and normal steering. 14937 were produced.
