I eat healthy and work out... why isn’t my body changing?

You're not alone if you’re asking yourself this question !!

Healthy eating doesn't equate a to a s*xy hour glass physique!!

At least, not on its own. 😉😉

There's another critical step to getting a lean s*xy shape!!

And most babes miss the mark, by doing hours of cardio, Orange Theory & Body Pump..

Leaving you feeling frustrated that all those hours of sweat & hard work are doing nothing !!

Here the thing…

As we age we LOSE muscle mass and to burn 🔥 body fat we need muscle!!

This is the magic weapon to fat loss!

Hours of cardio can create more stress in the body plateauing your results!!

Do you feel the older you get, the worse you feel!! 😕

Fabulous 40 and beyond, they say!

Yet here you are stuck in a body foreign to you, that you can’t figure out where it came from!!

I get it.

Getting a fit after 40 is hard.

Really F*cking hard.

You’re probably wondering if you’ll ever feel s*xy again.

Or forever be summoned to mission style with the lights off!

Thinking that the energy that you had when you were younger, that had you going all night long , is gone for good…

And let’s not mention the fifty shades of grey your hair is due to your stress levels from just thinking of ..
.all changes in your body that weren’t there in your thirties.

And to add to it..

You’re being confused AF when it comes to what to do about it!!

So many questions!

Should I join a Body Pump class?

Try that new Carnivore diet?

Does it work?

What about weight training?

Should I do more cardio or less 🥴😖😵‍💫

Everyone seems to have an opinion.
as you scrolling on TikTok, IG or FB!

Feeling excited about the new diet you started one dayb

And then giving up on it a month later…

Back to the bad habits.

Can someone just make it fu***ng simple?

Stick to these very simple principles .

So simple it will blow your mind.

Best of all.

It works.

1️⃣ TRACK YOUR FOOD!
If you’re not tracking your guessing if you’re guessing, you’re probably over consuming!
Knowledge of what you’re eating will help control late night pantry raids!!

2️⃣ DITCH “DIETING”
Diets are restrictive, and are not created for sustainable results!! When you eat more foods you enjoy your less likely to dive head first in to that pint of Ben & Jerry’s !!

3️⃣EAT TO FUEL YOUR BODY, NOT AS EMOTIONAL COMFORT!
Eat Whole Foods that keep you satisfied over emptying the sleeve of Oreos because you had a bad day - go for a walk instead!!

4️⃣ STRENGTH TRAIN OVER CARDIO!
Lifting weights will help you lose the belly fat by turning you into a fat burning machine!

And drink more water, less wine!

Your beautiful babe..and 40 can look amazing on you!!

Finding balance in our busy lives is like herding cats! 🐱🐱🐱

Juggling careers, households, not to mention trying to squeezing in social or 'me' time feels like being in a circus act.

We prioritize everyone and everything else over ourselves, surviving on a “diet” that's 90% Starbucks coffee, energy drinks and protein bars!

Sound familiar?

By the end of the day, we're running on fumes, lacking energy, and the idea of getting to the gym…is just a distant memory. 😏

But what if I told you I've cracked the code to feeling finding the balance!

A few years back, I reclaimed my power, focusing on my health and fitness routines.

Despite eating well and exercising, I still felt like a tired, anxious, challenged - a mess….

I hated how I looked but was afraid to do anything, due to FEAR of failing

Paralyzed.

I wanted to feel good & rock a strong confident physique - but it seemed like an impossible dream!

So, how did I turn things around?

I took ACTION.

I invested in myself.

I decided I deserved to feel good!🔽🔽

I hired a coach - I needed accountability
I made time in my schedule daily for me.
I went to bed earlier & woke up earlier.

I trained my brain to - GO vs hesitate.

Now if this feels overwhelming to you.

Start with small changes..

➡️Wake up 30 minutes earlier and before you pick up your phone - move your body

➡️Trying make your meals vs eating out!
Meal prep your Protein, Carbs sources on the weekend can make creating meals for you and your family easier!!

➡️Aim to get in 10k steps a day.
If that feels unattainable- just add 1k a week to what you’re currently doing!

➡️Creating space for you to do something for yourself… Creates space for all the other things!!

The key is to putting you on top of your priority list - you are worth it!!

CALORIES is the ONLY number you should be focused on‼️

I’m about to pop off on calories vs. macros , so buckle up.⁣😀


I am seriously tired of all the hype on calories in calories out!



If you don’t know what that means…⁣



It's the total amount of calories consumed vs those you expend daily as energy



The entire fitness industry glamorizes weight and fat loss with no competency on what happens when you do not know + understand a macronutrient

After following countless “weight-loss programs”, “diets” such as Beach Body, WW, Jenny Craig..and many more throughout my lifetime , not a single “expert” ever talked to me about macros and the importance of them. ⁣



Nonetheless, they gladly took my credit card information and sold me the dream of “losing weight ” with blatant disregard for maintaining sustainable results…

They sold me a “program” without understanding my age, health, activity levels.. or lifestyle

…and I learned some hard and expensive lessons, with NO RESULTS.

Better yet, I gained it all back!


Which meant I had to buy another “diet program”…..⁣or “magic supplement “

So my weight went up and down while I got more and more frustrated!!

I didn’t understand how to fuel my body!

Which meant I was a professional Yo Yo’er…

That had me hated dieting, the idea of losing weight & myself!

Fu***ng shoot me lol. ⁣

You might be reading this and thinking… then why did you keep doing it?⁣

Same reason you still do ;) ⁣

I didn’t understand the difference between eating to fuel my body vs dieting!

I was stuck in a vicious cycle of losing, and gaining weight!!


Anyway, ⁣


After years of only focusing on “calories” only and “weight loss “



I can confidently say the lessons I learned taught me …

1️⃣Macronutrients matter.

1️⃣Food is Fuel.

Calories in and Calories out matter..100% too…don’t get me wrong!

But, the macronutrients that make up the calories matter more!!

Especially as we age, ladies!

Most women over 40 do not eat enough of one powerhouse macronutrient - called Protein

AND too much highly processed s**t!!

This leads to fatigue, inflammation, slowing metabolic rate, weight loss plateaus..and that mid age muffin top!!

You’re likely 1-2 steps away from being in the best shape of your lifer, leaner, less stressed, and healthier.

It’s a balance of BOTH Macro Nutrients AND Caloric intake/output…

At some point, you have to stop thinking and start doing…✨🖤⁣

I used to be just like you...and I hate to be the bearer of bad news. 👇🏻⁣

But if you keep waiting until tomorrow, next week, or next month….it's not going to happen.

At least not in a way that lasts. ⁣

You’ve probably dived into several trendy "get skinny quick and easy" diets..

You shed 10 pounds and are feeling fantastic..

then you get bored…only to quit a week and watch those pounds pile back on, plus an extra 10.⁣

Great!

I’m a failure.

Now you're stuck with a neglected gym membership, starving yourself, AND packing on an extra 20 pounds!⁣

This isn't enjoyable!!

And here comes the negative self-talk!👇🏻

"I can’t lose weight."

"Only those with lucky genetics can be fit."

"My metabolism is wrecked."

"I'll Never lose weight !" 🙇🏻‍♀️⁣

Does this strike a chord?⁣

That "I'll do it tomorrow" mindset.

A loop of negative self-talk.

It has you trapped in a cycle of saying NOT ME, I CAN'T, or I WILL...when I have more time, blah..blah..

I've heard it all and believed it myself.⁣

The truth is, if you keep waiting.👇🏻⁣

Holding off until next week, next month...you'll only grow more disappointed in yourself and never truly begin...

…and we'll be having the same conversation next year, but now you have 40 pounds to shed, not just 20.⁣

So, for those of you in the back, I'll shout this even louder.⁣

Instead of feeding yourself more excuses in your mind

Start now.

Say yes to yourself.

Get consistent with it..

If you want to lose 20lbs and feel confident again naked as a jay bird , read this⁣

▶️If I asked you to drink tea & green juice for a week, you’d lose weight .⁣

▶️If I asked you to go keto, you’d lose weight..

▶️If I asked you to do hours of cardio, you’d lose weight.

You would start to feel motivated

Even more confident, as the waist band loosens around your waist!

Hell, you might even go buy a new outfit!

But you’re no better off longterm.⁣

Weight loss, especially FAST weight loss, shouldn’t be a stand alone metric.⁣

It’s not sustainable.

To get a lean toned body

You need muscle.
You need to fuel your body - not restrict it!

To do this - we need to NOT just look at weight loss - but more fat loss!

Especially when you are looking to see a lean, tightly toned physique!!

Don’t chase one metric ignoring the rest!!

Here’s the long and the short of getting long lasting results ⬇️

-ditch the restrictive “diets”

-lose the scale and focus on how you look& feel!

-track macronutrients AND calories - vs one or the other

Sometimes the scale doesn’t say what we want and that’s okay!

If meal prep feels impossible…

I get it!!

You’re juggling a career, family life, and busy scrubbing up puppy p*e stains while trying to fit in meal prep like the Rock Star everyone perceives you to be!!

It can feel like an impossible mission, right?

You're there cooking for the family each night, nibbling on a sad salad, with a glass of wine — thinking you're nailing it!

But f*k if, the scale still remains stubborn - unmoving for what feels like an eternity.

You're playing the calorie game, aiming to stay under ( insert said fitness influencers recommendation - based on what..? Who knows !? ) calories a day.

You consider it to be gospel , because wellll,duh…

…. fewer calories equal better results, am I right? 😏

All those fad diets & one size fits all are not meant to keep you full - end up leaving you hungry and dissatisfied.

Living a healthy lifestyle over⁣
the age of 40, isn’t as “s*xy” as the internet makes it out to be… ⁣🙄⁣

Many of us have repeatedly started and stopped diets over the past decade, searching for something that truly works. ⁣

The journey to fitness over 40 can be challenging.😤⁣

It often begins with the motivation to lose those first 10 pounds as a way to prove to yourself that you can do it. ⁣

But after that initial success, there can be a sharp decline in motivation, leading to a feeling of being stuck and dreaming of achieving a lean, toned body reminiscent of your twenties.⁣

The cycle continues with trying new diets, feeling lost without a plan for sustainability, and ultimately giving up after a couple of months. ⁣

This frustration and hopelessness can lead to scrolling through endless options in search of an easier way.⁣

This is the tricky part..⁣

…do you keep seeking quick fixes or shift your focus to long-term consistency and sustainable lifestyle changes? ⁣

It's important to remember that this journey and not a race but a destination that requires the right mindset.⁣

What it will do is give a lean & toned killer physique! 🔥

Cardio is great, and definitely is useful for that muscle we call a Heart -
