If you like inspiring teacher movies, you're sure to enjoy "Brave the Dark". This story of a teacher who takes in a troubled teen opens in theaters this weekend. Parents should note that there is some disturbing content related to domestic violence and the movie's PG-13 rating should be taken seriously.

It might be difficult to find but "The Seed of the Sacred Fig" tells an unforgettable story about a family coming apart under pressure from Iran's regime. This serious drama is a multiple award winner and is a contender for Best International Film at this year's Academy Awards.
