Rosso is a stalwart in the scene based out of BC who is a mainstay across western Canada's inimitable festival circuit. Had the pleasure of catching his recent set at Infrasound Equinox this past September and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him through to do a mix for the series!

SUBLIMIX 149 COMING IN HOT! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Our guest is PDX based Dope Slopes, who has been absolutely crushing it and recently really coming up in the local bass music scene. She has put together an hour long mix of some dark and heavy dubstep. So strap in and take the ride!

Finding beauty in the darkness, Dope Slopes has found herself. Finding solace in the depths of the throes of life, she is determined to highlight that hope which can and will be found. Originally hailing from Riverside California, being able ski an actual Dope Slope means to see both the sun setting and the moon rising at the same time on a slope ridge. The juxtaposition of light and dark progressed her towards the ultimate outcome of reality; of which is finding that we are on an outcome of balance.

Her selections continue to strike that balance and help oneself find themselves as well. Coming from a heart full of love, she hopes you can ride along that slope within the journey into the sonic waves.

Stepping up for Sublimix episode #148, Co-founder of streetwear brand and event production company; Swerve Supply Co. out of Calgary, Alberta, Jay one has a deep contribution to the North Western bass scene . Most recently coordinating the monthly Swerve Mix Series, his love for creating community around music is evident. Jay One grew up with roots in hip hop culture - carrying over to his trap flavoured style today. Heavily influenced by forward thinking bass music & rap lyrics, he rinses a wide range of genres including trap, hip hop, bass, dubstep, footwork & half time. Passionate and polished, his track selection is always mindfully curated to create an energy that is felt by all. Jay One puts the decks to work, moving through mixes at provocative velocities. His sets pop off as he manipulates tracks to keep you guessing. Gangster vocals layered on filthy baselines, he paints on the smooth spread.

Welcoming Seattle DNB duo, System.Au to the Sublimix series for episode 147! These two are definitely an act to watch in the coming years. Their DJ skills got our attention years ago and we are really excited to see their sound develop as producers.

Unknown prophet is a force to be reckoned with and a stalwart in the Midwest underground dubstep scene with his high energy moves/music and consistent blends. Unknown Prophet is someone who should be on your radar with his all-over heavyweight sound design.

He’s been direct support for some of the biggest acts in dubstep including Truth, Peekaboo, Wraz, Coki, Boogie T, Ternion Sound, The Widdler, Distinct Motive, Josh Teed, Subtronics, Ourman, Space Wizard, Gentlemans Club, Cookie Monsta, and Emalkay. He just came off his first small tour in Q4 of 2023. Now has sights on his first official tour in 2025.

Very excited to announce that we have been invited to host a Sublimate Showcase at this year’s Cascade Equinox Festival in the Cosmic Drip stage on Sunday night! This festival is very special to us being in our backyard. It’s filled a hole where WTF once lived and we are proud to stand behind our new home festival.

To mark this special occasion Heisty and Alt-1 will be debuting their joint alias, Twombmates! From the womb to the tomb baby! Their chemistry on the decks is really something special that they share as twin brothers. If you’ve seen them perform together, you already know what it is! Joining them on the showcase will be Portland’s own Badroom and Pintooth by way of Boise. We hope you’ll come get down with us as we share the sounds we love so very much!

Alongside so much great local and regional talent, we really are blessed to represent Portland and Forward Thinking Soundsystem music! It’s going to be an amazing weekend!

Her sonic palette is a fusion of diverse bass music, primarily rooted in the UK scene, interwoven with elements of R'n'B, Hip-Hop, Rap, Dancehall, Afro Beats and nostalgic anthems from her formative years. With a knack for dissolving genre boundaries, Mews orchestrates a symphony that moves both body and soul, promising an enchanting journey of earth-shaking bass and heartwarming melodies.

Dimitri aka SYLK has been tightly woven in the west coast bass scene for 7+ years. Teaching himself Ableton after graduating high school in 2011. Seeking further knowledge Dimitri pursued music school in LA in 2014. This lead to being immersed in the west coast festival circuit, where he gained many friends that shared his passion for music, community, and sharing different personal approaches to creating and composing.

SYLK is a very emotionally steered project with hip-hop and trap drums being the back bone. Lots of the productions are in the moment creations, striving to produce something unique. SYLK has tendency to be complex and very intricate. He has been told before he has presence of story telling in his audio soundscapes.

In this mix I was aim to share some of the new sounds that have been inspiring me as of late. Some of these tracks are heavier than I normally would play, but I have found that this sonic journey I am on is consistently changing and I am finding new sounds (heavier, grittier, full spectrum bass, some UKG) to be more appealing! I have also sprinkled in some SYLK originals to share what I’ve been making in the last couple years.

PS. Shout out Mr. Carmack you are the GOAT! That’s why I play 3 of his tracks. Also special thank you to the EAZYBAKED boys, VIDE, and Milano you all are and inspiration to the bass music community, you all push the boundaries!
