APPLICATION UPDATE | MAJOR:

We've updated Everest Cast Pro to latest version 3.21.3 from Version 3.18.1.
We usually hold out on early updates of the app because of bugs that usually follow early adoptions. Once we monitor closely and can confirm relative stability, we then push the updates on live servers. Which we have now done.
Major Updates Include the following and more. Kindly familiarise yourself with them:
✅Native SSL support for the new Shoutcast 2.6 out of the box. No need to use SSL proxy for SHOUTcast streams anymore, paid Shoutcast subscription is also not required for SSL.
✅ Improved support for the new Icecast 2.5.
✅ Metadata hang issue fixed
✅ Shoutcast upgraded to v2.6.1.777
✅ Icecast upgraded to 2.5beta 3
✅ Added support for Icecast authenticated listeners (allows creation of private stream links)
✅Stability issues fixed (metadata freeze and channel going into disconnected state both fixed)
✅ Stability and speed improvements
✅Events in the scheduler can now have 2 colors - one for the initial playlist and another one for the playlist or relay that plays after the first playlist.
✅Relay metadata fixed.
✅ Pre-moderation feature for track requests (Jukebox) added.
✅ Waveform generation for audio files (visual representation of audio tracks) added.
Awstats stats will now fix itself if user stats are stuck by re-generating configuration.
✅ Fixed radio shows in the schedule that sometimes failed to start playing.
✅ A problem with relays that sometimes go on air by themselves is now fixed.

NOTE: You didn't experience some of the bugs because we didn't update to versions with them.

Dear esteemed Users. Service has been restored to our Centova Cast Eagle Server. The problem was caused by a network outage at our North Carolina (USA) Data Centre, which has now been fixed. We regret the situation.
Before now it’s been 470 Days (about 1 year+3 months) of 100% uptime rate.
While this has been fixed, we’re continuing to monitor the situation closely for you.

The Difference Between Stations and Channels in Everest Cast Pro
___
Stations (also called Servers) are Independent radios
Example: Rock Radio, News Radio, Afrobeat Radio, 80's Station, etc

Channels are different stream settings of the same radio or station
Example:Channel 1 of Afrobeat Radio can be Icecast, 192Kbps, mp3 HD stream, while Channel 2 of Afrobeat Radio can be set as Shoutcast, 96kbps, AAC stream for mobile data-concerned listeners.
Channels come with their different stream links as set by the station owners/managers.

All channels share the main resources of the host radio Plan amongst themselves. Which include storage space, bandwidth, etc. So allocate Channel resources with these in mind to stay within your package resource limits and to avoid streaming issues.

To create Channels, scroll down to bottom page of Main menu of your streaming panel and click on **Add Channel** (Only for those with Multi-station/Channel plan).

Our Centova Cast streaming system is now fully SSL-compliant. Users on our Centova Cast servers will now see https stream links in their Quick Links section. This covers for both Shoutcast and Icecast streams. This levels up our Centova Cast platform with our Evesrest Cast platform.

Even though this came as a result of paid 3rd-party development, as Centova does not natively provide this feature, we're passing this as a free add-on to our Centova Cast users.

Glad to inform you also that since the radical decision to move to the Eagle Server, we've enjoyed 100% server uptime/stability for months.

After almost 365 days (A year) of rock-solid 100% uptime and rugged reliability, our Everest Cast Pro Servers are scheduled for a quick maintenance work to take deep breaths for the rest of 2020.

This work is scheduled for Monday 2, March 2020 at 1AM (Toronto Time). That's about 5 hours from now.

The procedure is expected to last about 1-2 hours.

We announce the release of the latest version of Everest Cast Pro. This incorporated lots of users requests which include:
✅ Users will now see a notification about an update availability in a Red box to restart their radio server if they are on an old version. Click the box to close.
✅ All remaining problems with relays are fixed (metadata, sound artifacts on some streams).
✅ Several fixes in the scheduler.
✅ Memory leak fixed.
✅ It is now possible to update the Icecast/Shoutcast admin password (see "Advanced" tab when you edit your channels)
✅ Relays buffering issue fixed
✅Improvements for reliability
✅Fixed repeating events in the scheduler calendar (they did not show up in some cases)
✅Fixed GMT-0 timezones (eg Europe/London) in the scheduler
✅Fixed a problem with a random track playback in jingle blocks
✅Fixed a problem with a jingle blocks playback
✅ and others

Once you logged in to your Everest Cast dashboard you'll be alerted to restart your server.
