Last year, I was blessed with an opportunity to capture New Zealand's Winter Landscape. 3 weeks, I had travelled solo more than 1700km with my rental campervan on the rugged snowy terrain only to captured this magnificent scenery.

ANCIENT HOI AN

Hoi An was an influential Vietnamese trading port for silk, porcelain, pepper, cinnamon, and medicinal plants near the Thu Bon River for the Japanese, Chinese and few European merchants during 15 to 19 centuries. Declared as UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999, featuring an amazing collection of beautiful Chinese temples, ancient Japanese style bridges, wooden shophouses, French colonial homes, and old canals

Though every year the this old maritime town was get crowded with tourists from all over the world, Vietnamese government contribute huge amount of incentives to preserve to originality of this destination.

The shot was captured near the south edge of Kandy Lake, just after sunrise. These artificial lake which were finished constructed in 1812 becoming a paradise for more than 10 species of birdies surrounded by nearly century's old Sal and Mara trees.
On the background is renovated 'Old Royal Bath' building.

During my visit to , a small town located 220km from Colombo after a friend of mine who were attracted with my photos invites me to stay at his homestay LA SORENADO.
Though he realized that I had very little time to spend there, he drive me around that small town as he told me that the surrounding nature is a haven for wildlife. Throughout the short trip there, I spot enormous numbers of animals just on the roadside such as elephants, deer's, hedgehogs and few birdlife too. There were more than 170 peacocks that I had encountered during that 2 hours roundtrip journey.
These place is really worth to go and a hub to YALA NATIONAL PARK. You can easily rent a homestay here below USD$20 for a couple, don't forget to hire a tuk-tuk driver which can cost $10 for 2 hours to roaming around the surrounding town.

I just found another hidden gem at Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

- THALAIMANNAR LIGHTHOUSE -

To be very honest, I were not planning my trip to Thalaimannar , it was my local friend Daxsan insists me to spent sometimes here.
He recommends around 5 hours will be worth enough.
But after I reached here, I knew quickly that it's not 5 hours, but at least 3 days to explore here.
Since the only motel that operates here closed down due on Covid19 and Sri Lankan political unrests, I manage to persuade a local fisherman family to share their tiny place for USD$10 per night.
They agreed to share the place but not taking single cents from me, that was the deal!! These peoples are so nice to tour me around the place.

Thalaimanar is at the tip island, it will take you about 1 hour journey with the rustic local bus from Mannar Town costs $0.40 for 27km trip. My preferred style of travelling, just get along with local communities whenever it's possible.

On a clear day you can get a view of Rameswaram, India on other side.
Remember to bring a kite together when coming to here, though you had no experience before the local so kind enough to teach you to fly the kite on the rough winds here.

It's just another fine evening with surfers winding through the rough waves of near . These were keep on distracting my camera attentions away from ocean but towards them.

beach were located at South of Sri Lanka, about 160km from . A hidden gem for every level of surfers 🇱🇰

Though, I had read plenty of journal about Choeung Ek Killing Fields, but I always want to come here to witness these horrified site personally‼️
Cambodia, experienced worst during 4 years on regime, (1975 - 79 ). More than 2 million populations were brutally murdered, these is the spot were around 10,000 victims were executed and buried on series of mass-graves.

The GODDESS, GOD And GUARDIAN
The sacred mystic little town with folklores of of old Hindu tradition is just enough for seducing whoever visit here. Filled with magical and offering culture everywhere, I were to addictive to come here again and again. Their welcoming and friendly smile still the same though these is my fifth edition at .

The shot were captured on 26 June 2022 where the local festival held here. After the candid shot, the girl's family who realized I'm capturing the photo very spontaneously approach me to invite for a tea break at their home.

Though there were significant urban modernisation but these people were never been lack with their culture and tradition. Balinese remain the same friendly, kind, polite and very welcoming towards tourists population. I never had such of any bad experience here.

Akaroa an hour and a half south of Christchurch, old tiny French settlers town dated back to 1840. I were literally experiencing New Zealand's French Heritage here surrounded with fully mountoainius background. A bucket list destination at that travelers should not missed here
