MCC Chariot

MCC Chariot The Chariot is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press and began as a four-page newsletter serving the Oceanside-Carlsbad College in 1935.

It has evolved, over the years, into an eight page award winning newspaper. “The Chariot newspaper is committed to serving the MiraCosta College community by printing information of interest to all members without intentional bias or special interest. As an organization, the Chariot staff serves to not only inform the community, but to provide student training in all aspects of college newspaper p

roduction and develop a practicum for the encouragement of strong leadership and teambuilding skills. Additionally, the Chariot staff offers a forum for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to voice their opinions through printing Letters to the Editor and articles contributed for publication. The Chariot Mission Statement: “To provide a vehicle of expression, interest, for the students and community of MiraCosta College.”
