Little Island Press Little Island Press is a publisher of poetry, non-fiction, and literature in translation Produced in hardback with stark, monochrome designs.

An independent publisher of new poetry, non-fiction, and international literature in translation. We are committed to the printed book – an event in which the poet, publisher, and printer all have an equal part to play. All of our titles are produced in hardback, tactile editions with an emphasis on permanence. We are a truly independent publisher, and only publish authors who think for themselves

. We print titles that we feel ought to be read, regardless of the tastes of the day. Our new poets represent some of the boldest, most unexpected poetic voices writing at the moment. Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Little Island Press is the dedicated work of a few individuals who believe that great literature survives in great books; each one a little island of its own. Currently, we operate three distinct literary series:

Momento Series: a collection of lost or under-appreciated classic poets who we feel it is our duty to promote and restore to a more prominent position in literary history. Budding New Poets: a collection of ten exciting, new and early-career poets produced in hardback editions with colourful designs. Named after the Stroud-born inventor of the lawnmower, this is a series marked by ingenuity and innovation, released in colourful, striking covers. Transits: a collection of important writers newly translated into English, with a special interest in the literature of Eastern Europe.
