Happy Friday June 10th My GMJ Early Birds!
I can't believe that today really is my last day...:( I promise not to cry...too hard that is..
-Weather is nice today except for the chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Mike's got that for you.
-Lisa is headed out to some breaking news right now.
-New rules for HS Athletes about preventing concussions.
-And, since this is my last GMJ I have some trivia for ya'll. How many miles do you think I have driven over the past 20 plus years to work. Here's a clue...It's about 38 miles for me to drive to Jax.
-OK...time to get to work. Love all of you.

Okay back to business...I still have the news to do for a little longer.
Mike says it's going to be a great day. Highs will reach the 90's again.
-Now to the sad news...We have a deadly shooting on the West Side. Lisa Robbins is live.
-Armed robbery in St. Johs County caught on camera. Your help is needed to find suspect.
-Parking is St. Augustine is under the mi\croscope today.

-Traffic Crash on Nside. We are live.
-Termite problem on the Riverside.
-Zika concerns prompt Clay Co officials to ask residents to dump out the water from tires and more.
-Big announcement from me today. That's coming at 6!

Hey Ya'll! My GMJ Early Birds...You can breathe a little easier!
The worst of the storm has passed us! It did move quickly just like Mike said it would.
-The focus now is on the potential for more flooding in St. Augustine. Anthony Austim is there live.
-Possible tornado on the West Side. We have the video. Investigators with the National Weather service will be there this morning to check it out. Shelby is live.
-Trees down in Argyle and Fernandina Beach, but thankfully no injuries reported from
-Rip tides could be a concern at our beaches today.
-Michael Dunn could get his appeal heard today on his first degree murder conviction in the shooting death of Jordan Davis. That will happen in Tallahassee today.

-We are under a tropical storm warning right now. Rain is already coming through now from the system. The worst is expected to start later tonight. We'll be here for you non-stop to make sure you and your family are safe. The bridges could close today too because of the gusty winds. That decision will be made later today.
-11:15 Gov. Scott will adress the state about preparations for the storm.

Happy Friday My GMJ Early Birds!
-It's time for the long Memorial Day Weekend. We'll show you some of the nice events planned to remember our fallen heroes. And, Curtis Dvorak is live at one hosted by Veterans United Craft Brewery.
-Risk of Rip Currents at the beach continues but lessens as the weekend goes along. Also there's a tropical disturbance out there and could become Bonnie. Mike is keeping a close eye on that for us.
-Jazz Fest is here!
-Local Spelling Bee champ made it to the top 10 in the national competition.Lew and I will try out some of those tough words...oh no!

Happy Tuesday My GMJ Early Birds!
Weather is great today except you need to be careful about rip currents at the beaches. And, we could see some rain this holiday weekend. Mike has got you covered...:)
-Road Rage shooting in Jacksonville with a 7 year old in the suspects car.
-JSO officer involved shooting results in a death.
-A local Child Time in Argyle is closed because of a fire. What this means to the parents of the children who go there.

Good Morning MY GMJ Early Birds! It's going to be a fantastic week weatherwise! No more rain for a while and just really pretty skies! Mike Prangley has the good news for you through Memorial Day Weekend.
-Search is on for missing swimmer at Guana River State Park.
-JSO involved shooting.
-Curtis is live at TPC Sawgrass with the Tom Coughlin "Jay Fund" Golf tournament. Yep he's talking to the coach too!
- Did you watch last night? Everyone is talking about Celine Dione getting the Icon award and how sweet her performance was for her late husband.

-Weather is okay for your drive into work and school but this afternoon it could be stormy yet again with SE Georgia seeing the biggest impact says Mike.
-Egypt Air flight is missing and authorities say it crashed. We are following this breaking news.
-Breaking local news! Man is in hospital after shots are fired at his car on 95.
-Lewis & Clark take us to a really cool beach.

Get ready for round 2 MY GMJ Early Birds!
-A little patchy fog this morning but Mike says the stormy weather will be back this afternoon. We had 2 lightning strikes in St. Johns counties. A home was hit and has a small hole in its roof. And, a person was hit and is in critical condition this morning.
-Bathroom battle controversy continues in our area. How are local schools stand on the issue and who wants to sue.
-Lews & Clark take us to Palatka for a creepy tour of an antique store that has an interesting past.
-Alligator wrangling in St. Marys.
-Search for missing boater off
Brunswick is called off. So sad.

Rainy day today My GMJ Early Birds!
-Mike says we have a 90 % chance of rain this afternoon. Yay for me. We could see 2-4 inches.
-Bathroom Battle! Clay Co HS Superintendent Van Zant says he will not accept federal guidelines to allow children to use the bathroom of their gender identity.
-El Faro hearings continue today.
-Search continues for whoever shot at cars on 295 but it was a pellet gun.
-Lewis & Clark take us to beautiful Cumberland Island.
-Starbucks mini is back.

-Nice day weatherwise! But watch out for rain tomorrow.
-Search is on for missing boater from Brunswick area. Another was found alive over the weekend.
-Jason Day wins The Players and becomes the 5th Australian to win title.
-Bullets fired on 295 near Phillips Hway hitting the driver's side of a vehicle. Four people were injured after their vehicle it a light pole.
2 other vehicles shot near 295 as well.
-Wendy's self serve??? it's being tried in LA and NY because the company is upset about paying $15 in minimum wages.

-Great weather to start the 2nd round of The Players. But this afternoon we could see some rain. Mike is helping us plan our day.
-Lew, Katie and Curtis are live at The Players.
Lew will tell us all about Ernie Els great day as he comes back from The Masters. Jason Day sets a course record.
-Katie helps you get around any traffic issues.
-Curtis takes us inside the clubhouse...cool!

-Great weather today for the 1st day of tournament play at The Players. HIghs in the 80's. But watch out for rain showers tomorrow afternoon.
-Kid Zone and 1st timers at The Players. Lindsey is live.
-Curtis is live with your tee times and pairings.
-Soooo much to do outside the golf course too. We'll feature all the parties and other events with Patty Jimenez.
-Outrage! Lots of folks are upset about George Zimmerman planning to auction off the gun he used in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Why he says he's doing it.
