At this hour, in Shasta County, the zones under current Evacuation ORDERS or WARNINGS remain the same as reported this morning. These zones can be found by going to https://protect.genasys.com/search. Any additional changes, if warranted overnight, can be found via Genasys Protect and will be updated on social media channels as soon as possible.
The following zones are under an Evacuation ORDER:
COT-8990-A, MAN-5000, MAN-5010, MAN-5020, MAN-5030, MAN-5040, MAN-5050, MAN-5060, MIL-5280, SHI-5070-A, SHI-5070-B, SHI-5120-A, SHI-5140, SHI-5150, SHI-5170, SHI-5180, SHI-5190-B, SHI-5210, SHI-5220, SHI-5230, SHI-5240-A, SHI-5250, SHI-5260, SHI-5270, SHI-5330-A, SHI-5340-A, SHI-5350-A
An Evacuation ORDER is a lawful order to leave now as there is a threat to life and/or property.
The Evacuation Center is at Bella Vista Elementary School 22661 Old Alturas Road.
The following zones are under an Evacuation WARNING:
COT-8970, COT-8990-B, MIL-5290, MIL-5300, MIL-8960, OLD-5090, SHI-5080, SHI-5110, SHI-5130, SHI-5200-A, SHI-5310, SHI-5320, SHI-5335, SHI-5350-B, SHI-5370, SHI-5390, SHI-5400, SHI-5410, SHI-5420, SHI-5430, SHI-5440, SHI-5450, SHI-5460, SHI-5470, SHI-5480, SHI-5490, SHI-5500, SHI-5510, SHI-5520, SHI-5530, SHI-5540
Evacuation WARNING means there is a potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should consider leaving now.
Traffic control points include:
• Southbound Black Butte Road at SR 44
• Wildcat Road at Black Butte Road south and northbound
• Southbound Wilson Hill Road at Woodbridge Road
• Southbound Shingletown Ridge Road
All roads south of State Route 44 between Black Butte Road to the west and Brokeoff Meadows Road to the east in the evacuation ORDER area are closed.
The large animal shelter at the Redding Rodeo Grounds 715 Auditorium Drive, Redding has reached capacity at this time. Additional room may be available at the Anderson High School FFA Farm off Olinda Road. Call 530-355-7036 to confirm availability.
Small animals can be taken to Haven Humane 7449 Eastside Road. Space is very limited so only those who are under an Evacuation ORDER can take their small animals to this location. ID to show proof of evacuation status may be required.
