Branding trends for 2020 - Logo Adaptability
Companies need to be everywhere if they want to be noticed in 2020. In other words, itβs no longer enough to just have a business that you promote online and through advertisements. If you want to thrive in 2020, you will need to have a website and be present on several social networking platforms as well.
Because of this, many companies are now choosing to create several variations of their logo to cover all applications. For example, you may use your master logo for your website and a simplified version for your Instagram profile.
By having these different variations, you can ensure brand consistency no matter what platform your logo is viewed on. Moreover, it allows your customers to recognise your branding in different ways, increasing the chance of brand recall.

are a delicate balance; change too much and you risk losing sales. Donβt change anything and you risk your competitors passing you by!
An example of this is the infamous rebrand fail of Tropicana.
The hired agency decided to replace the classic βstraw stuck in orangeβ symbol - which consumers had become used to - for a more generic, diluted identity.
The rebranding didnβt work. After the new packaging was put on supermarket shelves, sales plummeted 20% within less than 2 months, costing PepsiCo $33m in lost sales. Within two months of unveiling the new identity back in 2009, the company bowed to customer demand and reverted to the old packaging.
Moral of the story: it's not the amount of change but rather the right change that decides the success of a rebrand.
