Five young people part of LiC from Poplar have been bestowed with the challenge to create a local currency.
Benefits of having a local currency:
- Develop business skills
- Keep the wealth within the community
- Increase community cohesion
How will we do this?
- Produce a film (documenting every step of the way)
- Contact local newspapers and radio stations to enhance advertising of our campaign
- Contact and carry out consultation with local businesses
- Good branding which will be chosen by the commu
nity
