Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has indicated to trade with India.

During an informal conversation with the media, he said that he will trade with India after seeing the conditions of his farmers.

Meanwhile, a question was raised by the journalist that in the past, pro-trade ministers from India had to go home.

Responding to this, the Finance Minister said that if people have to go home to protect themselves from inflation, then it is fine. As much as I am working for the improvement of the economy, I hope I will not be fired.

He further said that the supply of fruits and vegetables is likely to be affected due to floods. If the supply is affected, the import of vegetables will have to be opened. If we have to import vegetables from India, we will do so

Team Ascensor, bags a Bronze and brings back Glory to Pakistan!

Ascensor is a veteran group of aspiring students from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences PIEAS that has now made Pakistan proud twice by securing positions in Teknofest’21 and ‘22.

TEKNOFEST 2022 is the largest technology competition in Turkey, sponsored by the T3 Foundation and well-known Turkish companies and institutions. This occasion gathers an assorted assemblage of 200,000+ graduates and understudies from various countries across the globe. This year, the Ascensor bagged a bronze medal overall in the international UAV fixed-wing category with about 180 teams and 84 countries competing.

The team first developed its first UAV Ascensor Mark-I to enter Teknofest’21 only last year. The plane aced all missions successfully and secured a position among the international teams at the competition.

This year, the team graced the grand stage again with Ascensor Mark-II. Mark II's amazing flight ability, refined design, vertical and horizontal 360s, and flashing speed amazed the pilots and audience.

During the competition week, the team was visited by the Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Mr Mustafa Varank who praised the design of the aircraft. The President of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), Mr Hasan Mandal also met the team and had a constructive conversation covering a range of technical and non-technical topics. This entire event was covered live by national news channels of Turkey.

The spectacular design and flight superiority of UAVs surely left an impression on the organizers and audience alike. That is why team Ascensor is awarded Bronze Medal throughout the competition based on its originality and design.

The Ascensor team brings glory to Pakistan! And this is just the start of a long journey ahead. The team intends to create a tradition of participating in such competitions and ushering in similar aerial events and projects in Pakistan.

Balach Nousherwani, a young hero from Quetta sacrificed his life in an attempt to save a drowning kid, who fell into a Karez in Quetta, Balochistan.

Balach risked his life for an unknown child and died whilst trying to save him. The whole Pakistan is proud of you Balach!

The government made currency declaration by all international passengers mandatory, as part of the measures taken to curb money laundering to fulfil the condition of the Financial Action Task Force ( ), according to a notification issued by the Civil Aviation Authority ( ).

The notification came as an FATF team was expected to arrive in next month for “on-site” visit to verify steps taken by Islamabad to curb money laundering and terror financing. A successful on-site visit would pave the way for Pakistan getting out of the FATF grey list.

has reportedly been offered liquified natural gas ( ) by on a commercial basis, in addition to initiating an agreement between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the government of Pakistan for the funding and supply of crude oil and petroleum products.

This offer has come in draft minutes ahead of the upcoming meeting of the Joint Working Group under the auspices of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council (SPSCC).

As per the draft minutes, both sides agreed to pursue and activate the agreement on the financing and supply of crude oil and petroleum products to Pakistan, signed between the SFD and the government of Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif has offered Pakistan's role as a mediator to mend ties of US and China and to bring the two superpowers together as they were used to do decades ago.

In an interview with Newsweek, the prime minister said: "If China and the US so desire, Pakistan would be happy to play a positive role to bridge their differences, as we had done in the past."
