‘MERRY GO ROUND’ 🏃🤣
LOOK: A runner from Taguig City shared photos of his first-time experience running in a small roundabout area inside the University of the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City (UP-BGC) campus.
Uploader Ryan Jasper Diego told the Inquirer that he decided to run in a single space after his scheduled group run with fellow runners had been postponed.
“I saw a post in a running group roaming around [outside a fast food restaurant] and thought it would be a bright idea to run in UP BGC’s roundabout,” he said.
Diego also shared that seeing elderly people who can still finish marathons inspired him to start running.
“I was motivated by some senior runners who can still participate the marathon… At natanong ko sa sarili [ko], kung sila kayang gawin, anong reason ko para masabing ‘di ko kaya?” he said.
“I started running last year with a three-kilometer run and walk merely to gain some physical activity, then I tried running events,” he added.
