John Fausty a man to be remembered! He was born in Westchester, New York, of Russian and Hungarian Jewish ancestry, Fausty “helped shape the sound of Latin music.” (Wikipedia). Fausty was born to do what he did, he understood sound. One of the unsung heroes of salsa. He parted September 29, 2023, at the age of 74. He was able to record live shoes like no other. Rest in peace maestro de ingeniería de sonido. Definitivamente que la salsa le debe mucho a este gran maestro! Descanse en Paz!

Last Sunday was my last show at KPVU, something is brewing in my mind, but not certain yet ... now I am just letting things flow... flow like a river... that always knows where the ocean is!
Thankful to my sister in music Masani Jazz who accompanied me throughout the years, we may not be doing something together for a while, but our sisterhood and friendship got stronger. And that to me is the most precious gift we as human beings get to experience. I respect you and love you my dear Masani!
I also want to give thanks to my dear friend John Hughes, who always supported cultural programs, and accepted that I do the show in a bilingual format. To him, who always believed in me, thank you dear friend, heaven gain a music and culture lover with you!
Thanks to 91.3 KPVU who supported John Hughes vision for the time that he was there. Thank you to Marquis Lofton who was left with the torch of continuing the KPVU ideas. Thank you.

We know time changes, and this is the season to change.
To all and each of you who made certain to send me a message to let me know how the music had impacted your lives, or simply trying to find out who was singing a song, thank you!
This is not a good bye... it is un ¡Hasta Luego!

Sunday Sunday today is for us to gather around the sounds of Latin Soul! It all starts with Masani at 4pm. And I start at 6pm. All central time!
