Sines is a Brisbane-based DJ, focusing primarily on Deep Dubstep, Half-Time, and Drum&Bass.

We had the pleasure of meeting Dave at Rabbits Eat Lettuce. He was a generous camping neighbour and offered us to partake in the renegade mischief. We instantly hit it off with him! Dave is involved in the 'Wizards of Kingston' crew and they have hosted some amazing parties/doofs. Dave is co-organiser of the event 'Midnight Junction' - promoting all things deep and heavy DnB, UK Bass, Half-Time, Dubstep and so on. He has contributed so much to the local music scene and we are glad to have him record this filthy, banging mix for Aura. Thank you so much Dave, this mix is absolutely pumping.

From the depths of the ocean, Cuttle came correct with this lush two part mixtape. Seth laid down the A-side with some alluring, peaceful and resonant dubs to meditate to. Jack took the baton onto the B-side with a collection of dank, heavy hitters with amen break samples.
Seth and Jack are great friends of ours and its our absolute pleasure to have them share some of the tunes they've been digging lately. Alongside having a heavy repertoire of tunes, Seth and Jack are also the co-organisers of Nice2Care Events and they have hosted a few banging parties in the bush. Idle Air aka Cameron Dun has had a perky ear about many of the Meanjin dance floors and booths for a hot minute now. Alongside producing some awesome music, Cam has also has been hosting some quality parties that go by name of 'Loom'. Idle Air has a wide variety of taste and is a fantastic mix man. He can jump on any old set of decks and always shares some fresh and timeless beats. Recently, he has made a huge achievement by releasing one of his tracks on vinyl and digital through Meanjin-based label; Pocketmoth. This is definitely worth checking out. We wanted to facilitate a platform where he could share some tunes that he has a lot of respect for and doesn't usually play out. Big love and endless gratitude to such a sweet friend.

The intention behind this mix was to communicate something that makes sense from both inside and outside the club, within the context of jungle and drum&bass - a sound I have a deep appreciation for.

There’s plenty of sub pressure, gully rhythms and enveloping atmospherics in here that I hope is equally as rewarding for the dancer as it is the focused home listener.

Next up for our second edition of the Auracast, we have the lovely Florescence, all the way from the UK, providing a banging one hour set of lush psy trance.

Florescence (Maharetta Records), is a psytrance DJ & Producer based in London, UK.

She discovered the psychedelic genre at the age of 19 after her Portuguese friends exposed her to the culture & love that this music radiates. Her passion rapidly grew after attending the beautiful Insomnia Festival in 2017.

Florescence, a music graduate from BIMM, has played at numerous Festivals & events all over England including her residency at the late, Club 414, Tribal Village, Psymera, Boomtown Fair & The Giving Tree Festival.

As well as her UK career, She has already played in many Parties in Switzerland, Sweden, and more recently Goa, India, where she wowed crowds at Symposium Festival & Shiva Valley.

Signed to the Spanish/English Label Maharetta Records, Florescence she has been seen in lineups playing alongside Ajja, Dickster, Burn In Noise & Tristan to name a few.

Welcome to the birth of Auracast. We are humbled to have received the first set from Swedish producer, Skudge. This set was recorded live at Ingensteds Club in Oslo, Norway in April 2022.

The rhythm and the groove is ignited by a hypnotic, percussive simplicity that breathes life to the warm and dubbed-out keys. Started as a duo in 2009, the project is now a solo effort (with live performance help from another individual).The Skudge universe has come a long way from the anonymous and humble beginnings to world-wide recognition through the labels Skudge Records, Skudge Presents and Skudge White.

Right from the start, the main output has been on Skudge’s own label. This resulted in a Berghain live set right after the first release of Skudge Records.

A steady string of vinyl releases followed, with remix EP’s in conjunction of their own work. Their unique take on music also produced EP’s on Dekmantel and Indigo Area as well as remixes on a wide array of talented artists such as Donato Dozzy, Anthony Shake“ Shakir, Instra:mental, Ben Sims, among others.

The fine sense of loops, detail and taste have reached people for almost a decade. Skudge EP's, albums and hardware focused live sets have been performed at numerous clubs and events world-wide or by way of recognised labels and podcasts. Skudge has left a distinctive impact in the realm of electronic music and we are excited for future releases.

Aura Music recognises that we broadcast from Meanjin on the traditional land of the Turrbal and Jagera/Yagarr/Jaggera peoples. We pay respect to elders past, present and emerging. We extend that respect to all aboriginal and indigenous peoples around the world. We recognise that it is stolen land and sovereignty was never ceded.

Music, song and dance have been and still are an integral part of aboriginal life and customs. In many aboriginal cultures, there are songs for various occasions; songs of ancestors, mourning/funeral songs, nature songs, animal songs, seasonal songs, and dreamtime songs to name a few.

Aura wishes to highlight the strong connection that aboriginal people have had with the arts for thousands of years, and we appreciate that many of these songs, customs, and practices have been shared with us over history. Music and arts brings communities together - to love, to dance, to manifest, to mourn, to heal.

May we learn from these practices; to connect ourselves back with the land and to appreciate the cultures that have been here since the beginning, and the cultures that are here now.

G’Day beautiful people! We are super excited to introduce a new podcast series coming straight out of Meanjin/Brisbane. Aura will be shining light to a diverse range of music styles and artists, both international and local. Our mission is to spread love through collections of live sets and DJ mixes. Aura Music aspires to provide a platform which reflects our gratitude for fresh and timeless sounds.
