The Valentine's Day is just a couple days away. And for single people out there, let me hear you scream! Of course, we don't want to be a third-wheeler or something to your friends and family's date. It's the Season to be Jolly! Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-laaa

The Filipino Christmas spirit won't be really hindered by anything. Although Christmas won't be the same especially when there is an ongoing pandemic and others are suffering due to natural calamities, we still manage to somehow get by and still feel the spirit of giving.

This pandemic has limited us in doing most things. Even the getaways we were planning were canceled to prioritize our safety. That is why we didn't travel so much during my Christmas break. I only spent this break with my closest friends and family. But as I have said, even though plans were canceled, nothing can stop us from making this season to be jolly! Because even before the Christmas break started, we already happened to have a very spontaneous idea, that is why we went swimming! Well, that's what boredom can do to people. As spontaneous as it is, my friends even had multiple sleep-over at their favorite house, our house.

I spent most of my Christmas break at home. And when I say home, I mean those people I am usually with and treasure the most. And what did we usually do? Well, we bond and spent our time mostly eating! Yes, eating! Because bonding and spending time together with your loved ones wouldn't be fun without food. And to spice up the moments as well as the foods, the chika comes in sizzling hot. Haha. Kidding aside, it is our own definition of catching up and sparking fun.

And speaking of fun, drinks shouldn't be forgotten! We had our own kind of party at home, which means it's the queue for loud music and crazy dance moves to take over and hype us up! Well, I bet my Papa Bear has the best groove among us! Given the craziness that takes over once my cousins and I unite!

But after all those fun and socializing, I wouldn't forget to have my ME-time. Although not alone because I am always with my dogs. It reminds me of how my dogs will always be there no matter what as I need to be always present for myself. Because after all, it will be always me (and maybe even my dogs) who will always support me even in my lowest.

After all those fun and celebrations, it seems that reality hit us really hard. But remember, di tayo pinalaki ng Sexbomb para bumawi. Because even though a lot have changed, and celebrations were not the same like when we were kids, Filipinos can still find ways to celebrate them. Therefore, we must continue to strive harder everyday.

Each one of us is a different type of traveler. And each one of us have either distinct or similar liking to another. We have our own preferences of our ideal trip or travel. Some are bold enough for a risk-taking activity, while some only want to enjoy and chill while they are traveling.
But this time, I am going to share with you the travel personality that I have! Enjoy finding out my type!

According to the quiz I took on www.jessieonajourney.com , adventure should be my middle name! It is because when I travel, I like to be active and chase after unique thrills and adrenaline rushes! I am "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫". 'ya know!
Who wouldn't like that? Definitely, not me. ;)

Because why rush in booking everything early? I'd rather chill on the beach with a cocktail in hand ,or just a good book - or maybe both? Because after all, I want to cherish every moment and take things slow and simple.

𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠

Many things were planned ahead not until the Coronavirus had infected numerous people in the world. Every plan and trip were put to a halt. And while everyone was left with no choice but to stay at home, the memories we had never let us lose hope.

Isn't it that one thing that helped us keep moving forward during those quarantine days were the memories that we wish we could do more in the future since this pandemic had taken away so much from us. That is why let me take you on the time where everything was normal as I share with you some of my fondest travel memories before everything seemed like an ending. Enjoy! ;)

Since I was a kid, we went to the beach every summer together with the folks on my father's side. But this trip is very special as it's as if it was my first time again traveling! It is because I was in my teenage years during this trip and my "kaartehan" or sassiness was on its verge. Also, it was the trip where I explored more and realized that I wanted to travel more. This trip made me realize that I want to be a traveler. But not just an ordinary one. I wanted to be that thrill and adventure seeker although we didn't even do much of activities since most of us were minors and the elders are not just into that type of adventure. And because of that observation I had with my folks, I realized that I don't want to be like them. Sorry not sorry, but I don't want my life to be bland. You only live once as they say! And that is what pushed me to do more every time we travel. I want to bring the fun while I experience it and let others feel the same way that I do!

We went to Star Beach Resort in Morong, Bataan in the year 2017. It was a family outing because my Aunt Zeze had just come back from Oman. And since we haven't had any type of bonding since she was away, we decided to have a beach outing. Well, beach outing for our family isn't new to us but I already knew that this one would be more exciting than those we already had in the past.

I guess it isn't new to Filipino families that they leave for travel at dawn. And yes, we left Malolos at dawn so that we can arrive at Bataan early in the morning. Everyone was excited although we all still feel drowsy. But as soon as we got to Bataan, we were welcomed by an astonishing sunrise.

I know, the day has only started. And as we arrived at Star Beach Resort, we were very much excited about what was going to happen. Although it was only a day tour in Morong, I thought that we already had so many of the activities. I know that kayaking, island hopping, snorkeling, and riding a banana boat aren't so much. But who cares? It was my first time doing all those kinds of activities. And that time, it was already the best day of my life.

The resort even had a mini zoo inside! They even offer a jet ski rental, a kiddie pool, a zipline, and a 16 ft. diving pool to experience. Too bad, I was still a little girl when we went there. Also, constructions and renovations were going on that was why some of their amenities weren't available like the zipline. But, in the end, we all still enjoyed the day.

Although we didn't have those very Instagram-worthy pictures, it was the memories that mattered the most. It was the people you made memories with, and the experience you will want to share with people.
