Cogea farewells Emori Kaurua (Tasa)

COGEA FAREWELLS THE LATE EMORI KAURUA.

In the community, one doesn't need to struggle to find people of great value. The fruit of their endless sacrifice, dedication and the result of their hard toil has pave the way for the young to learn and evolve and is a community building component. Such are the characters we draw from people we interact with on a daily basis to give us strength, guidance whom their great example lay the foundation of our communal existence. Bu Mori, Ta Mori or Mori as some would remember, is such a character that entail all of that. The inspiration to many in the community.

A perfect resemblance of and extraordinary a man of few words, which defines the life of this great father figure to the Village of Cogea always a leader in community solution initiatives and is literally a shelter to all those that struggle to identify one. Whether in disaster preparedness, food security, traditional duty or any aspect of community obligation, such was Bu Mori's life. Always a selfless figure and a true leader.

Indeed it is true that on a firm foundation of Christ, we can withstand whatever comes our way. A foundation based on God, produces steadfast faith and life, and allows us to be living examples to others, his life was a powerful example.

The power of his example is such an indelible mark that his memory will forever remain and bloom time again in the lives of all relatives, villagers especially to Bu Miri and his surviving children.

Till the risen of that new dawn, may your soul rest in eternal peace Emori Kaurua.

Today at Hamilton, New Zealand, a son of Wainunu was laid to rest. Emosi Dralia Tabudravu will be missed by his loved ones and also by the people of Wainunu. Not only instrumental in forming a small Wainunu Community in southern part of North Island, NZ, Emosi will also be remembered as one of the founders of “Wainunu ni Ma’aha” “Wainunu Farmers Market” .. a good & faithful servant of the Vanua. Rest well gone ni Koloni.

What a wonderful family gathering as Sydney family celebrated Loloma Simpson’s 21st. A Sort of bitter sweet occasion as this was all pre planned by Loloma’s late Daddy Nicholas Simpson RIP (passed 10 weeks ago) & Mum Asilika. So beautiful to have immediate family and friends gathering at Robert Qolly Simpson and Nancy Fong Simpson place celebrating and making this dream for Loloma’s dad a reality.. Happy birthday Loloma, Gods blessings be with you today and in the rest of your future endeavours

Wainunu Girl famous in NSW Woolworth supermarket.. Lia Bhurra Brown is the new face of EastCoast Beverages, a company that farm and bottle its own Orange 🍊 Juice.

As mentioned by Lia herself, she is proud of coming from a humble beginning, siwa dreve along the Wainunu river and now being part of marketing a product in the company she’s been employed for the last few years.
