Breaking! The petition by the Labour Party and presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against the declaration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kassim Shettima as the winners of the Nigerian February 2023 Presidential Election has been dismissed for inability to prove the claims in the petition to the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

The National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal in Kogi on Wednesday reserved judgment in a petition filed by Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Akpoti-Uduaghan, who lost the Kogi Central Senatorial seat to Sadiku-Ohere in the February 25 polls by 369 votes, had urged the tribunal to declare her winner of that election.

When the case came up for adoption of written addresses before the tribunal led by Justice K.A. Ojiako, Counsel to Sadiku-Ohere, APC and INEC, Messers M.Y. Abdullahi (SAN), S.A. Abbas and Dayo Akinlaja (SAN) as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively, prayed the tribunal to dismiss her petition for lacking in merit.

The Presidential Election Petitions Court has held that the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, failed to specify how they scored the majority of lawful votes in the February 25 presidential election.

In the lead judgment read by Justice Abba Bello Mohammed, said the political party made generic allegations of irregularities, suppression of votes and corrupt practices to rob them of their votes, especially in Rivers, Benue, Lagos, Taraba, Imo and Osun states but failed to specify the polling units affected.

Justice Mohammed further held that LP also failed to prove the allegations of over voting against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their actual reduced votes.

‘I Just Wanna Take Care Of Rema’ – Selena Gomez

American singer and actress, Selena Gomez has expressed admiration for the popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Rema, as she said she just wants to take care of him.

She revealed that her affection for Rema began way before their collaboration on the remix of “Calm Down”, it all started when she heard his song ‘Runaway’ and ever since, she maintained being a fan.

She expressed her willingness to work with Rema, citing her affection for his personality and her desire to look out for him.

She made this statement in a recent interview on the latest episode of the VA 100 New York Podcast.

She said, “I actually fell in love with the song ‘Runaway’ before I fell in love with ‘Calm down.’ I literally was a fan of his. But it (remixing ‘Calm Down’) was all like kind of his idea.

“When I met him, I honestly was so impressed by his demeanour, how humble and how grateful he is for every moment. And, I just couldn’t pick someone else who deserves all this success in the world.

He is so kind. I don’t know, I just wanna like to take care of him (laughs)”.

Tinubu Definitely Graduated From Chicago State University By Farooq A. Kperogi

I resent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's person and politics but that should not stop me from pointing out the obvious falsehood being amplified lately that he didn't graduate from Chicago State University. That's the way I roll: I defend the truth and expose falsehood no matter whom it helps or harms:

that he had no academic record there and that Tinubu and CSU are acting in cahoots to cover up a crime.

Well, there’s something called the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which forbids all universities and colleges in the United States from disclosing the academic records of a student to a third party. Every year, I (and all university employees who handle students’ grades here) have to undergo training on how not to disclose students’ records to third parties, including to parents, without students’ written permission.

Schools can only confirm directory information such as whether or not a student graduated from a school, which CSU has done repeatedly. And why would Tinubu accede in writing to his academic records being released to political opponents? Most people won’t, even if it’s just for the pleasure of seeing their opponents squirm in anger and frustration.

Former US President Barack Obama's love letters from 1982 reveal his "androgynous mind" and views on homos*xuality.

Former US President Barack Obama's 40-year-old love letters written making quite a stir.

These letters written to an ex-girlfriend in the year 1982 have resurfaced after in an interview his biographer David Garrow's claimed to have obtained them from three of his former girlfriends.

In one of them Obama wrote of his own ‘androgynous’ mind and ‘mak[ing] love to men daily, but in the imagination,’ as reported by The New York Post. In the writings he admitted to having a daily connection with men, but confirms it was contained within his imagination.

21-year-old Obama opened his heart out to Alex McNear in November 1982, when they both attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, ‘In regard to homos*xuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.’

This was also a part of David Garrow's 1472 pager, ‘Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama’ in 2017 who sat with Obama for eight hours over three days for the massive tome.

‘So when Alex showed me the letters from Barack, she redacted one paragraph in one of them and just said, ‘It’s about homos*xuality,’ Garrow told Tablet in a recent interview.

‘My mind is androgynous to a great extend and I hope to make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men,’ Obama wrote. Despite these confessions Obama admitted that he accepted his identity as a male. 'But in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept the contingency.

Emroy University is in possession of these letters after Alex sold them. ‘I have a very clear memory of Alex being embarrassed about selling the letters,’ Garrow felt. His friend Harvey Klehr transcribed the paragraphs for the author and later provided the redacted portion of the letter to The New York Post.

Barrack Obama has been married to Michelle since 1992, with two daughters and ín 2004 had declared ‘homos*xuality is not a choice’.

Calling Obama's thoughts ''youthful musings', Garrow says, ‘I’m a historian, not a psychologist, but I think it’s ‘public record’ news that a (vast?) majority of human beings have s*xual fantasies!’, in a mail to New York Post.
