🚨 CALL FOR PROPOSALS!!📢

As a large shareholder to the Asian Development Bank, the British High Commission wish to flag the following opportunity for those local Civil Society Organisations (CSO) working on gender-related activities.

This is your opportunity to apply for funding under the Small Grants for the Pacific CSO-led Gender Equality Projects.

Whilst aligning with Asian Development Bank gender equality priorities, projects may focus on a particular sector or be cross-sectoral. Implementation activities may take many forms, such as, but not limited to, the following:

✅ Education and training for women and girls’ skills enhancement and capacity strengthening.
✅ Capacity building in the form of strengthening women’s knowledge of their legal rights.
✅ Developing livelihood strategies – for example, establishing a community enterprise, by turning a community activity, such as recycling, into a commercial community business.
✅ Applying nature-based solutions developed by community-led groups in response to climate change challenges.
✅ Care models to enable women to partake in formal employment.
✅ Initiatives that address gender-based violence and,
✅ Developing innovative models in digital finance.

Green transformation involves adopting environmentally friendly technologies, prioritizing sustainability goals, and developing policies and practices to protect natural resources. GEF SGP’s work is very relevant to support local communities towards green transformation to support the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency or nature-based solution to conserve ecosystem while increasing carbon sink and improve livelihood. For example, by restoring and conserving mangroves, we can create a healthy ecosystem for marine species and increase the fish catch for local people. And provides alternative livelihood to reduce anthropogenic pressure to natural resources etc.
