Forest Whitaker, Oscar Winning American Actor and United Nations Secretary-General’s Sustainable Development Goals Advocate took time from his Godfather of Harlem film shooting in London to send a congratulatory message to the Pacific Games 2019 Athletes, to Hon. Prime Minister Tuilaepa and to all the Pacific Leaders.

There are many stories and memories that we will all store for life when we reflect on and I want to share some of mine.

I will never forget the examples of humanity, humility and citizenship I witnessed accross the course of the amazing event. "O le ala le Manuia o Tautua" - "The road to success is paved with service"

The Prime Minister of Samoa volunteering in the Marshall Tent as teams came out to play in the 7s Rugby.

The CEO of Netball Samoa cleaning the new stadium at the end of every days play at Faleata.

The young Power Lifter after winning his Gold Medal tidying the Gymnasium and putting all the weights away.

The children and village of Falesela who adopted Niue as their country to support during the games. The children performed their Niue items when the Village received an official visit from a Niuean delegation.

There are many many more examples of a country in support of the 24 nations who attended.

We all be us Athletes, Officials, Volunteers, Professionals and Sports Fans came away from enriched by the experience of being part of the best ever and look forward to .

Great honor to have the PM of Samoa on set. A true global audience for Samoa. Prime Minister Malielegaoi inspected MMG's facilities and saw our teams at work. He paid special attention to how we had integrated Samoans into our core team. MMG has over 40 Samoans working for our International Broadcast Centre (IBC) including local TV professionals from TV3 and NUS, over 20 students from NUS, local drivers and finance and admin staff.

Malo lava Jack Meredith and Tunupopo Patu.

Former members of Samoan XVs Rugby team who won Bronze Medal at the inaugural Pacific Games hosted by Fiji in 1963. An event involving 13 Nations, 646 Athletes and 10 Sports.

Their legacy continues in Samoa with our broadcast coverage of 24 Nations, 5000 Athletes and 26 Sports.
