Jack Iula, a native of Tanna Island, embarked on a journey of transformation when he joined Hawe Farm in Australia as a seasonal worker. Over the span of five years, Jack's dedication and vision turned his dreams into reality, reshaping not only his life but also his family’s future.

On his first trip, Jack embraced the hard work at Hawe Farm, specializing in harvesting bananas and avocados. With determination, he saved diligently and returned to Tanna with his first major investment: a D-Max transport truck. This vehicle not only served as a reliable source of income but also as a symbol of his growing independence.

Determined to build on his success, Jack returned to Australia for a second season. With a clearer goal in mind, he saved even more, eventually acquiring a small piece of land at Snake Hill, near Port Vila. This land purchase marked the beginning of his long-term vision to establish roots and provide a stable home for his family.

By the time Jack embarked on his third trip, he had gained confidence in his ability to achieve his dreams. This time, his savings were directed toward construction. Returning home, Jack proudly completed a three-room house, a tangible representation of his journey from humble beginnings to self-sufficiency.

Turning Hard Work into a Dream Come True! 🎉🎉

Api Sandy is proof that dedication, smart planning, and perseverance pay off. After spending several years working as a seasonal worker overseas, Api had one clear goal in mind: to create a better future for himself and his family back home in Vanuatu.

Leaving the comforts of home was no easy task. Long hours, being away from loved ones, and adapting to new environments were challenges Api faced with determination. But he stayed focused, kept his spending in check, and prioritized saving for something meaningful.

His hard work and careful financial planning finally bore fruit! Today, Api proudly stands beside his brand-new Mitsubishi Triton 4WD Single Cabin—a symbol of his dedication and a reward for his sacrifices.

Api’s journey reminds us that success doesn’t come overnight. It takes discipline, patience, and a clear vision of what you want to achieve. His advice to other ni-Vanuatu workers heading overseas is simple but powerful:
"Don’t waste your earnings on things that won’t last. Save wisely, plan ahead, and make the most of your time working overseas. You’ll come back home with something you can truly be proud of."

The Triton is not just a vehicle; it’s a statement of independence and achievement. Whether it’s helping his family, starting a small business, or enjoying the rugged roads of Vanuatu, Api’s new ride will surely take him to greater heights.

Congratulations, Api Sandy! Your story inspires us all to dream big, work hard, and aim high. 🚗✨

Daniel Tubrick, a man from the picturesque island of Tanna, Vanuatu, is about to embark on his eighth season of work in Australia, but this time, there’s something different – his wife will be by his side for the first time. Seven seasons in, Daniel’s journey with the seasonal worker program has been transformative, not just for him but for his entire family. His story is one of determination, resilience, and a deep love for his family and community.

When Daniel first joined the seasonal work program years ago, he didn’t imagine the impact it would have on his life. Each season has come with its challenges – the long hours, the time away from home, and the demands of working overseas. Yet, Daniel has persevered, motivated by a vision of a better future for his family. Through hard work and careful planning, he saved enough to buy a 1,000-square-meter piece of land in Eluk Plado, where he started building his dream house.

This house represents years of effort, sweat, and sacrifice. It’s a three-bedroom home, measuring 12 meters by 7.5 meters, with an indoor kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and a cozy sitting room. The house is more than just a shelter; it’s a testament to Daniel's dedication and a secure space where his children can grow up safely, surrounded by love and comfort.

For Daniel, having his wife travel with him for this season brings a sense of fulfillment. They’ll work side by side, sharing the load and, for the first time, experiencing life abroad together. They plan to use their combined earnings to complete their home, adding the final touches to make it a sanctuary for their family. Daniel also hopes to save up for a small vehicle, which would make getting around Efate much easier and help him and his family stay connected to their extended community.

Daniel Tubrick’s story is one of courage and growth. His journey reflects the dreams of many in Vanuatu who venture overseas to create a brighter future for their families. Through his hard work, he has transformed his family’s life and inspired others to pursue their dreams, no matter how challenging they may seem.

Congratulations to the 15 ni-Vanuatu women who have officially commenced their employment with St Agnes’ Care and Lifestyle as part of the Aged Care Expansion (ACE) program!

After an immersive and educational onboarding last week, the workers had their first day working in aged care at Emmaus Retirement Community and St Agnes' Village in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.

The women are settling in well and contributing to the vibrancy of the local community by bringing Vanuatu culture to Australia.

As part of their workplace-focused training, they will build on existing content to complete 15 units of competency while living and working in Australia to obtain their Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

We wish them all the best for their journey ahead in Australia.
