For the last decade Da Nang based French DJ/Producer G Nomad aka Gigimix has been working to establish as one of the most vibrant and fun DJs on the Vietnamese scene. Growing up with turntablism in his heart, this natural born digger holds a huge collection of House, Disco, Funk, Hip Hop, Reggae and Electronic music. Since 2012 G Nomad has performed more than 1000 shows across France, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and South Africa. Kaztet D
From France but partly raised in Asia, Kaztet D is the hardest working DJ in Saigon. Expect unbelievable bass riffs and mind melting organ solos as Kaztet shows you the art of digging with his stash of pure musically mad genius. You can usually catch him jumping between Afrobeats, Latin Grooves to Reggae/Dub/Dancehall/Jungle … If there is a dancefloor Kaztet D can fill it. Founder of WAT A GWAAN collective. Performing since he was 18 he ran Massawa Sound with Selecta Elpee in France as well as helping found R2G aka Rouen2Ground. He is also part of the FuryBass and LootAYard families. After years of activism and Hundreds of performances in France and abroad, he settled down in Cambodia in 2013, where he founded WAT A GWAAN and YATRA Productions. Now moving his projects to Saigon and teaming up with Saigon Dub Station, you can see him perform live through Vietnam, Cambodia and Asia as well as jumping on the Mic with his seminal flow. Puppa Elpee
Based in Da Nang and hailing from France Elpee is one of the most respected selectas working in Vietnam. Raised in soundsystem culture with Roots Reggae at his foundation Elpee created of Massawa Sound playing shows and festivals across france while remaining a strong pillar of the local scenes in Nantes and Rouen, pushing out sounds on the airwaves through Jet FM and HDR Rouen. Just as at home in studio, Elpee built spaces Conscience Locale 1 & 2 to work with local and international output. All this while still being an avid graffiti artist designer and visual artist. Since 2015 he has continued to broadcast reggae, world and bass music in Da Nang with Soul kitchen in collaboration with Cosmo. The monthly "An Bang Reggae Beach Fest" has been going strong for 3 years now, with international artists like Q-Mastah from DubStuy, Norris King, Ras Taro, Blood Dunza, Jado, Soom T, Bluntskullz, Art-X, Tomawok, Steppa Style, Anancy Sound and many more. Elpee teams up regularly with Saigon Dub Station for events such as Quest Festival, Vibe Nation and more. In Da Nang he represents Wat A Gwaan, continuing to provide selections oscillating between Roots Reggae, Rockers, Dub, Dubstepper, Bass, Drum and Bass, Afrobeat, World and Tropical. Manny
Manny is a Paris native, currently living in Saigon. Manny’s love for music started with 90’s French hip hop music. Hip Hop samples paved the way which led him into soul funk disco music. Since then, Manny has dabbled with many genres, including African and tropical culture. He has developed his own style of soul to tropical groove with a touch of modernity. Every so often his music tends to be a little bit wilder, as he explores deeper dark sounds.
As well as playing with Banana Hustle he is also a resident at Hazy Lemons. Playing all over Saigon, from clubs like Arcan, Piu Piu, The Lighthouse, Indika, Broma, APT852, Knick Knack, to festivals like "Sur les Pointes #10"(Paris,FR), and "Vibe Nation #2 #3"(VN)
