Due to the Marysville Hotel fire, Cal-trans currently has both north and south bound lanes of E St between 4th and 5th St shut down for an extended and unknown period of time.

In addition to that, 5th St between D and E St are also shut down.

We encourage drivers to use alternate routes, such as 3rd or 9th St.

Great work by the Sutter County Sheriff's Office

ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE ARREST:

On the night of 09/02/2023, Sutter County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a drive by shooting that occurred on Hunn Road and Highway 99 in Yuba City. One victim was injured but no fatalities occurred. After further investigation by our Detective Unit, the suspect in the shooting was identified as 20-year-old Alfonso Banuelos of Yuba City. On 01/31/2024, around 5:00 pm the SCSO Special Enforcement Detail Team (SED) successfully conducted a felony search warrant on Barrington Drive and Pelican Place where Banuelos was residing. The search resulted in the finding of a firearm and arrest of Banuelos.

Banuelos was booked into the Sutter County Jail on the following charges: Conspiracy to Commit any Crime, Discharging a Firearem in Public, Accessory & Attempted Murder x4.
