Feature Friday is here again - thank you for joining us!
It seems like everyone is putting out 'Faceless' videos nowadays. They are super popular across social media. But are 'Faceless' videos a good fit for promoting your small business? Maybe...maybe not!
While these types of videos are relatively easy and inexpensive to produce, do they reflect and project your company's brand? It's a question that deserves some thought!
Generally speaking, 'Faceless' videos are great for demonstrating products or services your small biz offers. 'How To' videos, 'Unboxing' videos, 'Explainer' videos - these and similar style videos are perfect for showcasing your goods via 'Faceless' videos.
On the other hand, if your business's products and services include more personal offerings (financial advice, legal oversight, educational assistance and the like), using 'Faceless' videos to promote your brand won't cut it - you need to show your face!
Creating promotional videos that include your face and voice is the first step to building the trust, authority and authenticity that prospective clients look for.
Although many businesses use both types of video to promote their brand, they make it a point to use the correct type of video for the corresponding subject. If you're unsure which type is needed for a particular video you're creating, use this rule of thumb:
> Use a 'Faceless' video when your product or service is the 'star' of the video.
> Use a video that has your face and voice when trust building is the 'star' of the video.
Keep in mind that fads (like 'Faceless' videos) come and go, but trust building lasts forever!
