It's Feature Friday once again & we're glad you're here once again!
You know, Small Business Saturday just a couple of months away. That means it's time to get focused on creating some ads for your SBS specials & deals - and that's just what we're featuring today!!
OK, here's the deal with ads - some work better than others...that is, some types of ads get a better response from viewers (potential customers!) than others. It's like this:
*TEXT ADS - These are the simplest to make, but garner the least response from viewers. The ad may include a color background, the company logo, maybe the boss's face,
but the majority of the ad is text. And for the majority of viewers, it's Scroll City - they'll scroll right past it!
*STATIC GRAPHIC ADS - Creating these types of ads involve a bit more work, but are much more well-received by viewers. The typical content of these ads will include some
abbreviated text (enough to get the message across), but features some cool graphics: eye-catching colors, designs & images. For obvious reasons, these types of ads are much
better at attracting attention than Text Ads.
*VIDEO ADS - There's no doubt about it - Video Ads perform best! Of course, there's no doubt about this: Video Ads are more costly to create. But no matter where you are in the sales funnel - introducing your product/service, demonstrating your product/service or selling your product/service - video ads are the best at motivating customers...and potential customers. The truth: according to data compiled by the folks at TubularInsights, 68% of consumers make a purchase after viewing a branded video!
So...
Other than maybe including one in an email, Text Ads aren't of much use.
On the other hand, Video Ads might be a tad costly for a small biz marketing budget. That leaves Static Graphic Ads as the best choice for many SMB's - and that's not a bad thing!
These types of ads can work very well, especially when created correctly. What does that mean? Use simplicity instead of detail; bold font instead of boring text; striking graphics instead of wallpaper backgrounds.
Your main goal with these ads is to make viewers pause long enough to read your message. If it resonates, they will remember AND be more likely to pause when they run across another one of your ads!
And that's all you can ask for - stop the scroll, read the message!
Our Feature Friday video today shows some Static Graphic Ad samples (yeah, that's some irony - a video showing static ads!) that will give you some ideas as to what kind of ads you may want to create for your biz for Small Business Saturday.
