Yes Friday...as in tomorrow. This is a weak fast-moving wave that will close off near the Delmarva, but could lead to about a 3 hour burst of snow in areas C and D most notably. This has NOTHING to do with Monday's system (not directly anyway) and that threat still looms. Look for maps for that this weekend.

Advanced warning to bundle up for the start of 2025โ€ฆ of course it is Pa Farm Show Weather.

Some STRONG wording from NOAA about the upcoming cold (the worst of it arriving in about 7 to 10 days). Plus, it has placed the Mid-Atlantic in its "slight risk" area for heavy snow potential between Jan. 7 and 13.

Remember that it's still too soon to know if meaningful snow will actually materialize but confidence in significant cold is HIGH.

There is going to be a lot of weather to talk about between now and the presidential inauguration. BUCKLE UP!

#YCPGives is a week from today. It is one of the days during the year that Alums can really support WVYC through our WVYC Endowment Fund. The Fund is used to buy equipment for the Radio Station. In 2022 we purchased Sound Cards for the new Computers that we use for our Music Playout System. In past years Microphones, A Delay Unit, and in 2018 a new Transmitter was purchased with proceeds from the Endowment Fund. Over the Years former Station Manager Lauren Edelstein Henry and Radio Station Manager Jeffrey Schiffman have had a fun challenge. This year they each will pledge $500. The challenge is Schiffman needs 10 former staffers-who graduated between 2013 and 2022-to donate. For Lauren, her challenge is 10 staffers from 1976 to 2012. When you go to the YCP Gives site just make sure you designate for WVYC York College of PA. On behalf of all the current students, your generosity is muchly appreciated.
