An ultra-rare 1911 York Our Pet tractor has been on the Hafer familyโ€™s Ohio farm since new!

You would be excused for thinking the Hafer familyโ€™s diminutive tractor is a homemade creation built around a convenient, stationary gasoline engine, but the York Our Pet is a true factory-built machine, made for light-duty belt and drawbar work. Given the weight of the old gasoline engines, the Our Pet was a handy, self-propelled power source that did not require a team of horses to travel to different jobs.

Read all about this rare tractor in the Nov/Dec 2024 issue! Available Now! https://ertelgiftshop.com/antique-power

๐Ÿ‘‰ The 4-cylinder Allis-Chalmers-built engine was fitted with a Fairbanks-Morse magneto and a Zenith 7/8-inch carburetor. The engine could burn gasoline or distillate fuels.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The Allis-Chalmers Model C was designed for a 2-row mounted cultivator that provided excellent visibility along with precise control.
๐Ÿ‘‰ A-C used the iconic orange color scheme and made some 84,000 Model Cs from 1940 to 1949. With a shipping weight of 2,200 pounds, it was just the right tractor for many small farmers.

Russell Frenchโ€™s 1955 Case 400 has been restored to the last nut and bolt!

Case released the 400 Series in 1955. The most noticeable change for the new series of tractors was the color scheme. The castings retained the Flambeau Red of earlier tractors, but the sheetmetal was painted Desert Sunset, a shade of beige. The contrast makes the tractor stand out anywhere. It is powered by a 251ci 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 43.82 drawbar and 49.40 belt horsepower.

Case fans, get your hands on ths Nov/Dec 2024 issue to read up on this and many other great tractors! Link in Bio

Mike Androvichโ€™s 1924 is an amazing, untouched pioneer survivor.
Story by Robert Gabrick โ€ข Photos by Brad Bowling

An sales catalog explained that the tractorโ€™s โ€œdrive wheels are of special design which makes them self-cleaning. This reduces slippage to a minimum, and the wheels and lugs are so designed that the Farmall can travel on hard as well as soft ground. This design and light weight avoid packing the ground in , , , etc.โ€ Wearing its that reflects owner Mike Androvichโ€™s preference for cosmetically originals is this 1924 Farmall. While not included with the tractor when Androvich bought it in 2010, the is a period-correct accessory available for 1924 Farmall buyers who desired shelter from sun or rainโ€”and maybe even snow.
