False SunPass texts use classic scam tactic. Don't fall victim to it:

The scam may look legitimate, but always use caution, especially if there is a sense of urgency to do something.

In this case, the text requests customers to click on a link to avoid additional charges and settle their balance. That link goes to a fraudulent website not associated with SunPass.

Texts have been sent to many SunPass customers AND NONCUSTOMERS, warning them about unpaid tolls. To avoid additional charges they need to "settle" their balance. A link is provided.

DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.
It goes "to a fraudulent website in an attempt to collect information," Sunpass warned customers on its website.

Simply delete the text message, and if prompted to report as junk, do so.

This is just an example of the many tactics scammers use everyday to steal your identity and your money.

Wythe Physician Practices- First Choice Family Care was started by employing one of our hometown physician’s Dr. Chase King. Dr. King quickly made a name for himself as one of the top physicians in the community. His practice grew rapidly. In under a years’ time we evaluated adding an additional provider. We were able to hire a great Nurse Practitioner from Rural Retreat, Crystal Lowder-Tibbs. Crystal came to us with a rather large patient base that soon grew to the point that we would need to expand once again to accommodate the volume of patients we were providing quality health care to. At this time, we reached out to another local Physician Assistant, Martha Sharitz. Martha brings to the practice a lot of Internal Medicine knowledge as well as diabetes care. We provide excellent health care to the community in a timely manner. If you would like to make an appointment at our office with one of the three providers, please give us a call at (276) 223-1430.
