A Clean Slate, an original NodeHaus documentary following the story of Shanyeill McCloud’s work helping the formerly incarcerated expunge their records and start their lives again, is going to the 13th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival in Turkey!

We're grateful for the chance to bring attention to this issue. Expungement, which is the process of getting rid of a criminal record, is still tough for people with minor offenses. This difficulty can hinder them from finding stable employment, loosing a professional licenses, or even your own business.

This past weekend we organized the first "Cans Film Festival" a DIY "open-projector"-style event meant to give filmmakers another opportunity to show their work, keep their artistic spirit alive, and connect with each other and their local community -- through can and bottle recycling deposits!

We had 27 film submissions, and packed our main office with filmmakers, and their crew and family. This was an amazing feat for us, and we can't wait to do it again next year!
