Local veterans stood with veterans who participated in today's Wreaths Across America ceremony at 11 a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery. Following the formal ceremony, participants then went to their assigned sections of the cemetery to collect evergreen wreaths to put on their assigned veteran's graves.
Junior high student reads winning essay at opening of Farmersville Lights
At the opening ceremony of Farmersville Lights at CBTx, Farmersville Junior High student Tatum Brazil was selected as the honorary chairperson based on her winning essay titled “A Farmersville Christmas Story." Here, Tatum reads her essay — from the viewpoint of a little reindeer — to guests in attendance.

Cops and Rodders Car Show
The Cops and Rodders car show is going on now in downtown Farmersville (til 3 pm) with almost 200 cars! Also, there are food vendors, shops to visit - and if you’re feeling frustrated- for just a $5 donation you’ll get the opportunity to help smash an old car!

Farmersville FD and AMR along with PHI air medical responded for a critical patient tonight who was transported to Medical Center of McKinney and used the parking lot at Feagins as a landing zone. This is unrelated to the earlier wreck on Hwy. 380 where a patient was also flown via PHI.
Tonight was the official dedication of the Farmersville downtown being on the National Registry of Historic Commercial Districts.
