Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has died. He was 100 years old and had spent more than a year in hospice care.

Happy Birthday to us. Today in newspaper history:

In 1905, the Worland Grit publishes its first edition. In 1938, the Grit merges with the Wyoming News and eventually becomes the Northern Wyoming Daily News and in 2019 it became the Northern Wyoming News. 119 years and still going strong!

Thank you to who have picked up silver bells for our Seniors. We still have 20 bells left. If you are able this year stop by our office and pick up a bell to make a Washakie County senior citizen's Christmas a little merrier. We close at 4 today but open 8-5 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8 to 4 Wednesday and Friday. Presents are due back by Dec. 16 to be distributed Dec. 18.

It is Giving Tuesday. Think of giving to the senior community through our Silver Trees. Bells are available at our office. Silver Tree is here at our office 201 N. 8th.
