[Update] Finally, I completed color restoration for Error 4444's next release - Mission Kill. A total of 1437 cuts were individually fixed manually restoring missing blue color. A before and after example sometime during the week.

[Update] Morning! Is anyone even awake this early? It has been a long time. I am wrapping up color restoration on another film for Error 4444. Video example in a few days. Also on the business side, the payment portal is live!

[Update] How about some good news to share. Our first project with Error 4444 titled Run And Kill has been released. They were kind enough to send me a Blu Ray copy. This was a team effort (as with the next 2 projects). Can't wait to check it out. I did the restoration work from the 30 minute mark to 1 hour 15 minutes on this film release.

I've begun redoing my previous examples up to now as I feel I can make them better. More to come over the next week or so. I'm still looking for Grantors for my Crowd Grant Campaign on Patronicity, just think how much more I could do with a film cleaner and scanner. :-) Thanks always.

The fast paced learning continues. In the past few weeks I have crammed more color correction knowledge than I thought was possible.
With any craft, the more you learn better prepares you for challenges coming down the pipe. But now, looking back at my past portfolio examples, they don't look as good as I thought they did when I created them.
At some point I will be redoing all of my past portfolio and client work examples. I have also picked up a few vintage theater snipes to add to the portfolio later on.

I just got some initial feedback from Error 4444 about my restoration work. This is a direct quote:

"Just wanted to preface by saying .... I was mainly in charge of looking over all the work done on RED TO KILL. I’ll start by saying that your restoration side of the work was phenomenal, the cleaning of all the scratches, burns and the like is superb. The film has never looked this clean...."

13 years ago when I decided to try one last time to have my own business and revive Opaque Media it has felt like an uphill battle against the odds. So this feedback is amazing to get. And I would not have gotten to this point without the support of friends and family like y'all. So this belongs to you too. One small victory for the little guy. WHEW......

[Update] Finally reached the final 8 minutes of film restoration for Project 03 - then the color restoration begins which should go a lot faster. Artist Miranda should have half of the new artwork completed for next week over on the side of things.

[Update] Its been a long time since the last update. Still waiting for the OK to share items from project 01. Project 02 got pushed back. Currently on Project 03 w/ Error 4444. Non Commercial projects are queued up - just need time. Sorry this is all we can offer for news.

Second project with Error 4444 is locked in. More details in a few weeks when its completed. But it is a Japanese cult flick from the 90s thats been redone twice since.

[NEW] It is finally official and okay to share. Opaque Media has partnered (joined with) Error 4444 Media. We have already completed work on their soon to be released Run And Kill (from 30 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes). Once the release is announced we will share restoration examples. Next week we begin to work on restoring 2 short films (details later). Thank you.
