Munq is having our first event ever and YOU are invited!
We are partnering with @venturex_worcester to host a welcoming party to celebrate our new office space and the overall journey thus far.
The event will be held on March 21st from 5:30 - 7:30pm on the Fourth Floor of the Mercantile Center (100 Front Street, Worcester MA).
To all our friends, family, clients and connectionsā¦we would be overjoyed to see you there.
This will be a first of many chaotic Munq events, some things to expect:
1) 2000s Music only (life was better back then).
2) Catered by food that doesnāt suck (sorry cheese platters).
3) Forbiddance of the phrase āwhat do you do?ā (severe consequences included)
4) A speech that will make you want to run through a wall.
Overall, weāve wanted to do something like this for years.
The timing finally felt right.
This event will be a momentous occasion that will spark many more like it.
The Munq network is home to some amazing people and itās time we got everyone under the same roof.
All are welcome!
Bring your friends, co workers orā¦literally whomever.
For registration, look out on our stories for a link (need to get a headcount for food and such).
Its going to be an amazing time - we would love to have you!
As it has been saidā¦the journey continues.
See you March 21st!

šCLIENT WORKš
This Fall, we completed a brand story video for our wonderful friends at the Guild of St. Agnes!
Our focus was the Guildās latest project - the University Collaborative Center on Mill Street in Worcester.
This state-of-the-art facility provides daycare to local families and serves as a space to train future generations of early childcare professionals.
Our objectives with this piece:
- To tell the story of the new location and how it serves Worcester.
- To capture the new energy and direction of the Guild.
- To showcase the growth the Guild makes possible for its people.
The video will serve as a heavy branding piece that the Guild can leverage for partnerships, fundraising, and recruiting. We also created a series of short clips that can be utilized for continued marketing efforts.
This project is a marker for all the tremendous growth weāve seen at Munq this past year. With each project, we improve.
Our process and storytelling capabilities are tighter, more efficient, and more effective than ever.
Thank you so much to Sharon MacDonald, Katie Sullivan, and all of our amazing friends at the Guild! Their belief is us has been nothing short of incredible since day one.
We canāt wait to share more work from our clients as the year ends. If you have project ideas, extend a hand to talk about 2024!
The journey continues š§”
Whatās the best way to grow a business?
Grow yourself.
At @munq_creative, weāve learned that being an entrepreneur means becoming a person who can handle it.
When we start anything, weāll get frustrated. Entrepreneurs like us always have huge visions that we want realized ASAP.
But what lives in the future wonāt always arrive quickly. Thatās the hard part.
To get the big things we desire, we have to become people capable of receiving those big things.
That means overcoming limiting beliefs, creating systems, managing hard emotions, taking extremely accountability, administering self disciplineā¦ and more.
The list goes on.
To successfully pursue entrepreneurship means pursuing personal growth. Every. Single. Day.
Your business will only grow as much as you do.
Anything youād add? š¤
A good pitch creates URGENCY š
In āThe Art of the Pitchā class at @clarkentrepreneurship, our own Tim Hally talks to his students about the cost of inaction.
In business and entrepreneurship, the biggest thing our customers, clients, and audiences will ask us is, āso what?ā
To answer them, we need to drive home what will happen if we donāt take action now.
How do we do that? By asking more good questionsā¦
What will occur if we donāt address your problem?
What evil will exist in the world if your product, service, or organization doesnāt succeed?
Why should you be driven to action today?
All people - no matter who we are - need urgency in order to feel inspired to take next steps.
Asking our audience to consider the stakes helps them see clearly the path to transforming their situation.
At @munq_creative, we believe the art of the pitch is all about telling a good story. If you want to do that, you have to drum up the stakes.

š A Munq Halloween Story š
Know whatās really *spooky*ā¦? Hiring a horrible marketing agency.
Nothing worse than onboarding a vendor to solve your problems, only for them to make things worse.
This Halloween, Munq is proud to unveil our latest Spooky Specialā¢ļøā¦ āA Nightmare on Munq Streetā.
Give it a watchā¦ if you dareā¦ š»
Shoutout to the incredible @georgecapalbo for helping us bring yet another creative vision to life š§”
Have a fun, safe, and happy Halloween everyone!
And make sure to check under your bed for Every Agency... ā ļø
Talk business up front!
We learned the hard way that proposals alone wonāt win new business.
No prospective client wants to read an essay on our process before they even get to know us. If we send them a document before we talk about money, theyāll skip right to that price.
The best way to win business is to talk business. Yes, weāre creatives. We love the thought, the exploration, the process.
But we need to have the hard conversations around money too. When we talk to potential clients about value and budget up front, we create trust that can lead to more longstanding relationships.
What are your thoughts? š

Proposals donāt make sales.
Having conversations around value and budget do.
This is something we learned the hard way over the first 2 years of our business.
Back then, we wouldnāt talk about money early enough and we relied on the proposal to sell and justify our prices.
And what would we hear? Crickets.
Now, proposals are NOT a waste of time. Theyāre amazing tools to use in sales, and theyāre required for things like RFPs.
Just donāt rely on them like we did.
These days, we talk with our clients to figure out where they are today, where they want to go, and whatās standing in their way.
Most people come to us looking for ājustā a video or logo. However, upon further questioning we reveal a larger systemic gaps in their branding and marketing.
Sometimes we even talk clients out of spending their money on something that isnāt right.
If the project is a good fit, we talk about the impact of the work and the potential value it can provide when done right.
Itās less about about the investment itself and more about what the investment can create.
Finally, we talk budget and work backwards into a budget conscious solution.
THEN we send a quote, a one pager, a proposal.
Doing this has closed way more business than ever before.
Lesson learned - if youāre a creative or service provider, talk about money first!

Entrepreneurship is NOT pretty.
What social media misses in glamorizing entrepreneurship is the extreme accountability that comes with it.
Everything you put out, good or bad, will be mirrored and amplified in your business and personal life.
When something goes wrong, we (and everyone else) only have one source to blame - us.
When you put your dream out to the world, it becomes a target to be judged, ridiculed, and demeaned.
Why is this a good thing? Because that vulnerability is where growth happens.
Vulnerability allows for feedback, and feedback creates accountability. It creates a standard needed to shed older versions of ourselves.
Entrepreneurship isnāt pretty, but it IS an amazing vehicle for change within yourself and others.

Our favorite Professor @tim_hally talks Storytelling at @clarkentrepreneurship š
Timās class, called āArt of the Pitchā, is all about stories.
Why? Because the most effective presenters, pitchers, and interviewers all have the ability to tell really, really good stories.
No one likes being sold to. Instead of becoming better āpitchersā, we should focus on telling better stories.
Thatās what Tim has students focus on at Clark.
Stories help us relate to other people through shared experiences and values. They create a safe place to allow conversation to begin.
Everyone comes to the table with anxieties and fears. A good story labels someoneās pain, paints an optimistic vision of the future, and helps position your product, service, or YOU as the solution capable of creating that transformation.
Over the past three years here at @munq_creative, we have formulated a Storytelling process that we use in every single project.
Weāre confident in this process - so much that we teach it at a university level.
Timās class starts with the individual and works its way outside to the people the students want to influence.
And it all starts with a really, really good story.
As always, a huge shoutout to @clarkuniversity for having Tim! The journey continues š§”
Imposter syndrome is a challenge.
As entrepreneurs and creators, it can be easy sometimes to lose our identity in the day-to-day grind of business and work.
Thatās when we get scared. When we feel like weāre suddenly out of our league, like we donāt know what weāre doing, like nobody can trust us.
Thatās imposter syndrome - but it doesnāt have to be so scary.
Imposter syndrome is a sign to step back and reflect. Do we truly understand our identity - not just as a brand, a business, a creatorā¦ but a person? Do we know who we are?
The answer is probably more complex than a simple yes or no. And thatās okay.
Weāre always evolving - we have to be. Imposter syndrome is an opportunity for us to look at that evolution and ask ourselves, whatās next?

š CLIENT WORK š
@baystatesavings is Worcesterās longest standing community bank. Theyāve been a trusted financial partner to scores of people and businesses in the area for over a century.
In Spring 2023, the bank hired us to help showcase the many positive impacts of their work in the Central Massachusetts community.
Personal relationships define Bay Stateās approach to banking. That approach has kept them strong for over a hundred years, and now it sets them apart during a time of rapid growth in Worcester.
We built our story on these ideas. In conducting interviews with Peter Alden - the bankās longtime President - and other staff members, we captured insights into Bay Stateās rich history, values, and culture.
We also interviewed two of the bankās community partners - @quinns_blue_plate and The Guild of St. Agnes - to illustrate Bay Stateās commitment to relationships and how that commitment translates to incredible outcomes.
Our completed video was shown at Bay Stateās annual corporatorsā meeting, and will be an integral part of the bankās future branding and marketing efforts.
Thank you so much to the incredible creative team at Bay State and everyone else who helped to make this project a huge success!

How to beat imposter syndrome.
As entrepreneurs, small businesses, and creators, we feel so often like weāre out of our depth. Weāre afraid weāre making a mistake at every move.
But imposter syndrome means weāre doing something right.
Feeling scared and unworthy means weāre taking the risks needed to do something incredible. Itās terrifying because it should be.

š Client Work š
This spring, we completed another customer story video for our amazing friends @incentivio!
This winter, we helped Incentivio make their platform feel real and human by telling the story of one of their many successful customers. When they approached us again, it was with the hope that we could help them blend more of their mission - their *why* - into another story.
So we did just that. This June, we traveled to Latham, NY to film with Incentivio and their incredibly fun partner, @worksbakerycafe.
We conducted interviews with Richard French, Founder and CEO of The Works, and a few loyal cafĆ© customers who all spoke on the industry trend of homogenization and the struggle to preserve culinary choice. People deserve access to the food they want... and thatās why Incentivio does what they do.
Our storytelling work will help Incentivio continue to make a brighter future possible for restaurant entrepreneurs and their guests. Going forward, our video at The Works will be an important part of Incentivioās marketing efforts.
A ton of love to @georgecapalbo, who continues to be an absolute wizard on the camera. And thank you so much to everyone at Incentivio and The Works for making this project such a fun, massive success!

Why you NEED to trust other people āļø
As a small business or entrepreneur, it can be so hard to let go of what youāve created and trust other people to help.
But thatās how we grow. If we welcome others into our business world with open minds, thereās no limit to how far we can go together.
Are you trusting others as much as you could be? Let us know š
