We love Cal's Angels.
They have taken every cancer parents worst fear, and made this organization a beautiful tribute to him, and his life, while helping so many families.
Today, Cal Sutter would have been celebrating his 31st birthday. Cal was a normal young boy who loved spending any and all time with his family, laughing along to SpongeBob—his all-time favorite show— and could always be found outside with a baseball in hand. He is well remembered for his kindness and selfless attitude, putting others before himself.
In June of 2005, he and his family's lives were turned upside down when Cal was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia...he was just 12 years old. He fought courageously, but ultimately lost his battle just a little over one year later in August of 2006.
Even with only a few years on this earth, Cal’s loss was immense and felt deeply throughout his community. His parents were committed to ensuring that no family would ever have to endure what they did, which fueled the start of Cal’s Angels in 2007 with a mission to grant wishes, raise awareness, and fund research for kids fighting cancer.
Because of his kind and caring attitude, Cal’s legacy has led to supporting thousands of kids in the Chicagoland area in the last 17 years. To Cal, as well as all those children battling, have survived, or have tragically lost to this horrible disease, we will never stop fighting for you.
In honor and memory of Cal, please help us by giving $31 today, or making a monthly commitment of $31 to ensure kids are supported year-round, at calsangels.org/donate. Anyone who sets up a recurring donation of $31 or more in June will receive a FREE Pediatric Cancer Awareness Shirt in September.
Together, we will make a lasting impact on families affected by pediatric cancer.
