The reason the ammunition we make shoots so precise, is because of very tight tolerances held on every step. A laboratory scale that graduates in .02 gr increments. There are 7000 grains in one pound. Weighing every powder charge to .02 gr tolerances ensures consistent velocities from each shot fired. Bullet seating depth is measured throughout the load process to ensure the proper bullet jump to barrel lands is maintained. A low ES (Extreme Spread) means no vertical fluctuation of bullet impacts at medium and long range.

A client brought us a Pre-64 Wi******er 70 in .243 Win. He's read enough of me writing about the 7mm-08 Ackley Improved that he wanted the rifle rebarreled in it. But, he wanted to keep the original look of the old model 70. Lilja barrels was the only manufacturer I could find that matched the Pre-64 Wi******er 70 barrel contour. And it was coming in stainless steel. I told the client we could cerakote the steel to make it look blued. A custom house blend we have developed. Lilja sent more than enough barrel tenon to work with.

A rifle build was requested to be used for whitetail, Axis, Pronghorn as well as Elk and Aoudad. So, we needed to make one rifle be a "Medium Rifle" and a "Large Rifle". 7mm Rem Mag with a light load, as well as a heavy load. Berger 168 gr Classic Hunter 2780 fps MV. And a Berger 180 gr VLD-Huning 3050 fps MV.

Two things do not exist. Small Rifle Primer pocket 7mm-08 brass. And 7mm-08 Ackley Improved brass. The way to get there is left to right. .308 Wi******er SRP brass, neck it down to 7mm-08, load it with a 7mm bullet, fire it in a 7mm-08 Ackley Improved chamber. Zero the scope to the load, and go get DOPE on it.

Load development with new powder and a new bullet in a fire forming 7mm-08 Ackley Improved. And a new range record was set! This is at 200 yards!

Looks like Fierce Rifles is doing alright. Their double ejectors are causing high pressure in factory ammo. But their chambering and rifling seem to be in good shape. A little too much free bore, but the ammo does fit in the magazine.

Load development today on a .223 Rem. Range record smallest group set by a mass production rifle. It also marched right out to 800 yards, with zero trouble. Almost no recoil and cheap to shoot. So much winning!

Load development, ammo, DOPE to 800 yards on a Fierce Rifles 7mm Rem Mag. Berger 180 gr VLD-Hunting bullets sure do cheat the wind, and hit hard!

Load development for a GA Precision .300 Win Mag, 210 gr Berger VLD. Bit of a cross wind, but that dog will hunt. Ran out to 800 yards and got a 2925 fps muzzle velocity.
