Melodic Revolution and PeacockSunrise proudly mark our 8th anniversary as an eco-conscious independent record label. Aligning with the 2024 Earth Day theme, "Planet vs. Plastics," we've diligently pursued a plastic-free approach since 2016. While we're not yet entirely plastic-free, we take pride in having released over 40 eco-friendly albums.

What is Earth Day? It's an annual observance held on April 22 to advocate for environmental preservation. Originating in 1970, Earth Day now encompasses a diverse array of activities coordinated globally by Earthday.org, engaging over 1 billion individuals across 193 countries.

Our releases (see below) are crafted by Atomic Disc in Oregon, a company equally committed to environmental stewardship and resource conservation. Since 2011, they've undertaken significant measures to reduce plastic usage by more than 90%, discontinuing products like jewel cases, clamshells, and plastic media cake boxes. Instead, they utilize recyclable and post-consumer recycled materials for their products. Moreover, their printing inks are vegetable-based, enhancing biodegradability compared to traditional petroleum-based inks. The crystal-clear eco bags they employ for packaging, in lieu of cello wrapping and shrink wrapping, are constructed from acid-free, 10% post-consumer recycled plastic.
