A few clouds around, otherwise mostly clear skies across the Triad tonight with temps dropping to near 29 by Wednesday morning. We've got a few nice days ahead with 60s by Thursday. A chilly light rain moves in late this evening across the Triad with some mountain snow. If our precip can fall fast enough, it's possible for a few sleet pellets but nothing major. BUT WHY?!?!? LOL. NC snow lovers looking at the Radar today probably very angry. Im right there with ya. We are just on the dry side of this system as our front is kind of stalled. Man just now our time right now. Still plenty of winter to go.

Check out the snow falling across the Boone and Beech Mountain today. We had a few flakes and sleet this morning here in the Triad, just not our time for anything big around here. We still have plenty of winter to go though.

This is not a forecast but just showing you what our IBM Weather company forecast model is showing for potential snow. It's one of our hi-resolution models we show on air. It's Saturday and a lot could change between now and Monday/Tuesday. But a quick little clipper system could bring some snow to the area on Monday/Tuesday. Most of our models have been showing this for days now, but mainly showing under an inch of snow. This will not be a big system for us, However, arctic air moves in next week, so the pattern for more winter weather is there, we just need to get our cold and big storm systems to align. Stay tuned.
