Digital Bridges Forsythis celebrating National Digital Inclusion Week (DIW) It is an annual week of awareness, recognition, and celebration. Here are some important statistics related to DIW:

▪ Most U.S. adults today say they use the internet (95%), have a smartphone (90%) or subscribe to high-speed internet at home (80%). About four-in-ten report being online almost constantly.
▪ Today, nearly all U.S. teens (96%) say they use the internet every day. And the share of teens who report being online “almost constantly” has roughly doubled since 2014-2015 (24% vs. 46%).
▪ 70 per cent of men are using the Internet, compared with 65 per cent of women
▪ 13 percent of U.S. workers have no digital skills

Digital Bridges Forsyth CORE Project team is proud to announce that we have met
our total participants goal for the Computer Outreach and Education (CORE) Project.🎉
This span of the project has assisted numerous residents in the forsyth county area in
bridging the digital gap within the community. 🌟💻

The Project completion metrics are as follows:
▪️ 3355 Total submitted interest forms
▪️ 1253 total participants
▪️ 108 classes held across Winston-Salem, NC
▪️ 432 total hours of instruction provided
▪️ 5,012 total hours of digital literacy learning

Digital Bridges Forsyth is a network of individuals from the nonprofit and public sectors who are leading the effort to close the digital divide in Forsyth County. Digital Bridges Forsyth and its partners seek to ensure that all Forsyth County residents have access to affordable, high-speed Internet in the home, Internet-enabled devices, and the training and technical support they need in order to fully participate in our digital society.
