We are very much saddened by the passing of Gov. M. Jodi Rell, a true CRIS Radio champion who once served as a volunteer reader. She believed in our mission of making the world more accessible, and celebrated our Windsor broadcast center ribbon-cutting event in 2010. Our condolences to her family and close friends.

At the Connecticut Youth Services Association’s annual conference in Hartford today to share the CRISKids Audio Book Club evaluation results. More than 80% of students using CRISKids during the summer did not experience the summer slide and lowest level readers improved reading skills more compared to those who did not use CRISKids.

CRISAccess provides human narrated audio tours for free visitor access through the use of QR technology. As a component of CRIS Radio- Connecticut Radio Information System this phenomanol organization works to provide access for People who are blind or print challenged.

We are gratful to CRISAccess for incorporating our museum in their ARPA funding to cover production costs for this valuable service. The audio narration, both english and spanish of our 14 interpretive panels will greatly elevate our site's accessiblity for people to learn this important history.

Happy 60th birthday to Scot Haney, a long-time friend and champion of CRIS Radio. A genuinely kind and sincere man who is willing to do so much to raise funds for our nonprofit, from auctioning off a toilet at our golf tournament to dancing at our gala, we are so grateful to him! Wishing Scot the very best on his milestone birthday and may his good deeds be rewarded in wonderful ways!
