Having Options In Your Community Is a VERY GOOD THING
👉Imagine your community with only ONE of each type of business:
-One Grocery Store
-One Gas Station
-One Clothing Store
-One Hardware Store
-One Bank
-One Cleaner
-One Attorney
-One CPA
-One Marketing Company
-One Furniture Store
Some may see this as "my business will be top dog if I destroy my competition" but how healthy is that for your community? Let's take a grocery store for instance.
If a community only has one grocery store, it creates a "monopoly" situation where that store has significant control over prices and product selection, potentially leading to higher costs for consumers, limited variety in goods, and less competition, which could be particularly problematic for residents without easy access to other shopping options, often referred to as a "food desert" if fresh produce and healthy options are limited; this can also negatively impact the local economy by limiting consumer choices and potentially leading to higher prices for essential items.
Key points to consider:
👉Price control: With no other grocery stores nearby, the single store can set prices relatively high without fear of losing customers to competitors.
👉Limited selection: The store might not carry a wide variety of products, especially niche items, due to limited demand and potential for spoilage.
👉Quality concerns: Some residents might feel pressured to buy products even if they are not completely satisfied with the quality due to lack of alternatives.
👉Accessibility issues: For people without transportation, relying on a single store can be especially challenging if it is located far away or has limited hours.
So instead of trying to be the ONLY one, work on being the BEST VERSION you can be. There is PLENTY of BUSINESS for everyone and your consumer deserves to be able to make a choice. Support other businesses......EVEN IF THEY DO THE SAME THING YOU DO💚
