Good afternoon facebook friends,

This has been a month full of announcements for me and the awesome folks I work with in the music world, its always encouraging to have all the support everyone gives us.

The one of the primary music groups I perform and record with, Magnus, is releasing a Single on Spotify, Itunes, and other platforms soon!

If you have not checked out Magnus yet, we are an avant-garde improvisational group that features a number of fantastic musicians from around the Lexington/Louisville area. A majority of our performances are completely improvised and include high to extremely low grade slap stick comedy as well.

I will share the link to our upcoming single, "Beginners Mind", on release!

-This Saturday catch us at the Kenwick Porch Fest featuring one of Gabe's advanced drum students Evan! The Kenwick Porch Festival is unique and an amazing way to spend your Saturday.

-At the end of the Festival, Jared (Magnus Bassist) will host a drum circle for anybody wanting to drum.

I have some good news folks!

My drum method, Rudiments to Grooves, has been successfully published! A big thanks and shoutout to Cherrymoon Media for all the help with this!! Give them a shout if you need any help related to publishing.

A hard copy of Rudiments to Grooves is now available on Amazon and the e-book version is available Kendle and a couple other platforms.

I have had a great time writing and improving this method over the past couple years. With so many fantastic instruction books on the market, I have wanted to write a method that helps students hit multiple birds with one stone. Rudiments to Grooves is focused around a few basic but very important sticking patterns for drummers. It guides the drummer through a few important and different applications of these patterns for the end result of maximizing freedom during improvisation.

Thanks to all my friends and family for the support over the past couple years with RtG and my all of my other musical adventures. all of the hard work has been blood, sweat, and tears at times but ultimately very rewarding!
