Okay, so I lied about the throwbacks…

In digging through my catalog of work I found these again. I believe these were taken in 2017 around Christmas. I was inspired by a famous photographer and wanted to recreate that vibe in the local park that is known for their pretty Christmas lights and I set out to do just that

I did a whole series of portraits at night in the park with the lights. These are definitely some of my favorite that I took and it was cool to find them again

Big hello and thank you to all of you that are new here. It has been refreshing to feel so much support so quickly for me sharing my work again. I hope that you all continue to follow along and share and support this creative endeavor, however it evolves. I think tomorrow I’m going to break out some video clips to share because that’s really my specialty

This is a fun one for me to post again so many years later…

I remember not thinking much of this when I took it on a very chilly January day. The fog and ice were cool (see what I did there) but I didn’t think this would be the beginning of my creative career really taking off. I ended up selling multiple prints of this photo and things sort of started to snowball from there

The backstory of this photo is that this is the view I grew up with as a child. This picture was taken on January 11th, 2018 from the riverbank of my parent’s property in Kanauga, Ohio

So… here it is again. Many years later. And, by the way, I can and do sell prints of any work that I have done and I can also go get specific images if anybody would like something in particular

I guess I should start by posting my favorite images that I’ve taken for myself here in Wilmington…

I’m lucky enough to call this my back yard. I grew up on the Ohio River and went to school in West Virginia on that same river. I’m a sucker for water in general, but sunset on the river here is one of my absolute favorite things about living in downtown Wilmington

I hope you all enjoy the sunset as much as I did. I’ve fallen in love here…

Hello, friends!

Please allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Matthew Brinker and I am a passionate, creative human. I make videos, take photos, fly drones, manage social media platforms and websites, and do graphic design work. I’m from Gallipolis, Ohio originally, but now I live in Wilmington, North Carolina and I’ve been here for nearly two years and I absolutely love it here

I’m currently working as a craft cocktail bartender at several different places in the downtown area and I run their social media platforms. I’ve done some freelance work in Wilmington but I have largely neglected something that I am exceptionally passionate about and love doing, and that’s having my cameras and drones in my hands and making things and capturing moments

I am going to restart this endeavor, even if only to share some of the things I get to do on a daily basis. I have a large portfolio of work that I have been sitting on for far too long. My hope is to start doing more freelance work in Wilmington and the surrounding areas and I hope that you will come along with me for this and support me as I go
