If you’ve ever done any research on the proper way of greasing motor bearings and pillow block bearings, it seems to be a rabbit hole. There is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to which grease to use. Here is a list of compatible greases directly from a manufacturer. I keep two grease guns on my van. One for motors and one for pillow block bearings. The worst thing you could do is mix greases!

I’m on call this weekend so I figured I’d learn a little Symbio 700. Playing around with the Symbio Bluetooth app and Trane TU. The App is definitely a lot easier to set these up with. TU allows you do do a little more though.

I had to replace a condenser fan motor on a Carrier AquaSnap chiller. This fan puller was a lifesaver!

I got a service call for a Trane Voyager 3 being down. I found a communication issue between the Trane TR150 drive and the Symbio 700. I had 5 volts dc leaving the Symbio 700 but I only had 3 volts dc at the drive. I found a bad molex plug in between the drive and the Symbio board. I bypassed the plug and ordered a new one.

The offices fed from this Trane Varitrane VAV were too cold. These actuators operate off of 24 volts. I was getting power from the control board to close the actuator, but it wasn’t doing anything. I found a replacement actuator and swapped it.

I found a failed compressor module on this 100-ton CGAM Trane chiller.

I started up a new Trane Voyager using the DM4-W gauges. The JB GO V2 app works great! The wireless temperature clamps and psychrometers connected almost immediately to the gauges and my app! I was able to capture the needed information for my paperwork very quickly and easily using the JB gauges and App!

Starting up new Trane split system heat pumps in the winter can be a bit of a challenge! Thankfully these 15 and 20-ton units have a required charge on them to make it a little easier. I picked up a tank heater after seeing one of posts. I wish I got one of these a long time ago!

My wife and I had a great time on the Hidden Battleship tour of the @battleshipnc! We got to see areas of the ship that aren’t normally visited. It was fascinating to me to get to see the engine room and the boilers that powered everything.
