Union Mission is pleased to announce its prestigious selection as a Southeast Regional Finalist in the 2025 True Inspiration Awards. Union Mission was nominated by Marshall Davis, Owner/Operator of the Godley Station and Pooler Chick-fil-A locations. This esteemed recognition celebrates Union Mission’s mission of partnering with people to end their homelessness.

With more than 2,600 applications, 30 organizations were selected to represent 6 regions for a chance to receive a grant award ranging up to $350,000. All individuals are encouraged to support Union Mission by voting on the Chick-fil-A app from September 3 – 30, 2024.

To Cast Your Vote for Union Mission:
1. Click on your Chick-fil-A app (or download the app and create an account)
2. Select “For You” at the bottom of the screen
3. Select “News” where you will find the True Inspiration Awards
4. Click the “Vote” button
5. Select the “Southeast Region”
6. Cast your vote for “Union Mission”

Funds will support the Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House, an Emergency Housing Program at Union Mission for homeless women and children. Magdalene House supports 20 women and children with 6 emergency housing suites and supportive services to help the fastest growing population of homeless individuals obtain safe and stable housing.

“Being nominated for the True Inspiration Awards is a testament to the impact and importance of our work at Union Mission,” said Michael Traynor, President & CEO of Union Mission. “This recognition highlights our dedication to partnering with people to end their homelessness. Our wrap-around services exemplify our commitment to providing services that assist in helping individuals and families get to stable housing.”

In 2023, Union Mission served 1,250 individuals with 180,800 nights of housing and 260,337 meals. Through the Emergency Housing Programs, Union Mission is able to provide clients with 90 days of housing, individualized case management and access to an array of comprehensive supportive services that work to address clients’ medical, mental health, transportation, childcare, and employment needs in order to help them permanently end their homelessness.

New Updated Shuttle Policies.

Starting Friday, September 6th, with the Monster Jam event, Enmarket Arena will introduce updated shuttle service policies. Here’s what you need to know:

• Shuttle Service Fee:
o Hockey Games & Family Events: $5 per person
o Concerts: $10 per person
*Children 5 and under can ride free.

• How It Works:
o Boarding: Shuttles will pick up passengers at the corner of Barnard and Liberty near the Savannah Civic Center parking lot, where they will pay and board there. The shuttle will drop off passengers at Enmarket Arena.

o Return Trip: After boarding, you’ll receive a stamp, which will act as your return ticket. Passengers will have the option to return after the show with a stamp.

o Alternate Return: If passengers chose to arrive at the arena via other transportation, they can still catch the shuttle back downtown after the event. The return fee will be the same: $5 for hockey games and family events, $10 for concerts.

This updated service is designed to provide safe, convenient, and affordable transportation for all patrons traveling to and from downtown Savannah to Enmarket Arena.

The decision to implement charging for the shuttle service was driven by Enmarket Arena’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards for our luxury shuttles with the new fare helping to cover mandatory upkeep of the shuttles, including regular maintenance and fuel costs.
